  We had a wonderful holiday.

  The apartment was lovely, as usual, and we were very lucky to have fantastic weather which meant we could make the most of the beach and the swimming pool. The new carpets in the bedrooms are very nice and it is convenient to have towels provided now. We did have some issues (some of which others have mentioned too): The washing machine had A LOT of black mould in it. The powder drawer and slot it fits into were covered in mould, as was the seal. It took me a very long time to clean it up before the machine could be used. I realise this is partly due to the flat being unoccupied at times but, perhaps the owners could leave a note to remind people to leave the drawer and door open? The fitted sheet for the double bed was too small and kept coming off. The trays in the oven were all very dirty with bits of food on them -we had to clean them all. The oven gloves were so dirty that I had to soak them before washing them. I realise that some of the issues are due to people not cleaning up after themselves, and that cleaners have limited time, but my general impression is that cleaning is not as good now that Sykes has taken over the company. We have been going to No 7 since 2011 and the standard of cleaning does seem to have deteriorated. We love the apartment, with a few minor tweaks it would be perfect!

  Cove View is a delightful property - great layout, lots of space, all amenities you could want for, and to top it off an AMAZING location.

  With a parking space. A really brilliant holiday home. Would definitely stay there again. We did have one problem which was that the electricity cut out due to a fault somewhere. I called Coast and Country, and after waiting aaages on hold, finally got through to someone. They did act swiftly, with an electrician turning up that afternoon, but he was unable to locate the source of the problem and left. There was no further follow up and we had multiple power cuts throughout our last day. We were glad the issue happened at the end of the holiday, and can only imagine the inconvenience for the next set of guests. We appreciate that this sort of thing is not a usual occurrence so it wouldn't put us off staying at this property again. One genuine negative comment though - I had a question about the property prior to our visit and it was impossible to make contact with anyone. The telephone service for Coast and Country is very poor. on the number I was given, the recorded message and options did not work, there was no way to contact the owners, and with the electricity unresolved during our stay, the only thing that let it down was our interactions (or lack thereof) with Coast and Country.

  We had the absolute best time staying here. The house, grounds and facilities are fantastic! The house was ideal for our group size and was clean, tidy and furnished beautifully. We loved the little bbq terrace outside for late night dining once the kids were in bed. The swimming pool and park area was amazing, our children loved swimming every day and the trampoline was such a hit! The whole place felt like it catered to adults and children alike and I think any age group would be happy here. Annie and the team were incredibly helpful and responsive too. The location was great for some quiet walks but also being near beautiful Kingsbridge and a short drive to Salcombe. The information book had some excellent recommendations in too, we used the fishmonger, veg shop and butcher from the book and they were definitely worth recommending. We had a fabulous time here and will definitely look to book again.

  Such a beautiful stay at Mixit Cottage.

  Was there to celebrate my birthday but it also turned out to be a surprise engagement holiday as well! Which made the stay all the more magical. Beni and Jonathan are lovely hosts. We had lovely cream teas and flowers on arrival and was also gifted a lovely bottle of wine to celebrate the engagement too which we were very much appreciative of. The cottage itself was really clean, cosy, romantic and warm. We didn't want to leave and felt blue when we got home. The swimming pool was lovely to use and we also had fun with the ping pong and pool table. It's very close to the Kingsbridge town centre so very convenient for shops, cafes and takeaways/restaurants. Bed was super comfortable, bathroom was lovely. We loved our stay so much we've recommended the cottage and Fixit to our family, who are now staying for Easter week. Definitely would love to stay again whenever we come down to South Devon next!

  Weymouth Park is a gorgeous bungalow in a superb location.

  Having visited Hope Cove on many occasions over many years, this was ideal for us. Spacious rooms, very clean and comfortable, super comfy beds and a modern bathroom. Kitchen exceptionallly well stocked with pots and pans ..No oven gloves though!!! Lovely enclosed garden which is a little sun trap. Two minute walk out of the property to the bottom of the cul de sac, down the pathway and you are on the south west coast path, a real plus for us as we are keen walkers. A couple mins more downhill and you are in Hope Cove with 2 lovely beaches. Beware walking back uphill, it's steep :) but oh so handy. Hope and Anchor good pub food and nice for a drink, Lobster Pod pods are amazing and a very pleasant change, food and service was excellent too. I would definitely recommend this bungalow.
