  Beautifully converted barn, situated in lovely gardens, with a countryside view. Short, 5 minute walk to the village centre, with a great butcher's shop, Co-op and pub. Plenty of walks nearby including at the nearby reservoir, River Orwell and River Stour. Ipswich is only a 15 minute drive away and the coastal towns of Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Orford, Aldeburgh and Southwold are all easily accessible for a daytrip. Venturing inland you have the interesting towns of Lavenham, Cavendish and Bury St Edmunds. The house itself has 3 double bedrooms, a great kitchen / dining and living area, as well as a nice patio with garden furniture. Overall a great place to stay and enjoy the Suffolk / North Essex countryside with friends and or family!

  The Milk Parlour is a stylishly refurbished barn in the beautiful Suffolk countryside just a short drive from the coast.

  We stayed 4 nights for our first holiday with our 5 month old baby. The space is well utilised with a lovely outdoor space to the rear next to the pond and space at the front next to the beautiful lavender. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom is a good size with a bath and excellent shower. The bedroom was also stylishly decorated and a travel cot was provided for our little one. The bed itself was very creaky though. The hosts provide a host of local recommendations and walks, we did the ‘biscuit’ walk to see the alpacas! Handy for us with a baby, the local pub The Huntsman and Hounds, was doing a take away service and the food was delicious! All in all, a lovely stay!

  We really enjoyed our stay in the peaceful, secluded haven of The Nookery.

  The property has been thoughtfully converted to give spacious, stylish accommodation with good quality furnishings and fabrics. Plenty of hot water and generous heating added to our comfort, as well as the bed, easily one of the best we've encountered in our travels. A special mention to the pretty, private garden, also the easy to follow directions, ample car parking and the well lit entrance through a wisteria arch leading to The Nookery itself, all so well designed and maintained. We also appreciated the entrance lobby/ utility room/ drying room, a really practical feature. Thank you! We would not hesitate to recommend a stay here.

  Blackberry Cottage is just outstanding. The owners -Alan & Linda - could not do enough, super friendly & informative. Arrived to a lovely welcome pack some of which we enjoyed in the beautiful garden while reading everything you could need to know plus some local information all in the 'blue folder'. Sometimes its the little things that make a difference such as home made jam, fresh chicken's eggs, decent coffee, sensible sized towels. All very clean and comfortable. Sitting in the garden reading and listening to the birds plus a lovely owl hooting during the night. A very peaceful location yet so near to Woodbridge

  Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blackberry Cottage, beginning with the very warm welcome by our hosts and the very generous welcome pack. Delightful cottage, bright and well equipped, comfortable and overlooking private little garden with views over the fields. Linda and Alan couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Cottage was perfectly placed for visiting the surrounding area, beautiful countryside, pretty villages and coast within easy reach plus quiet lanes for cycling. So much to see and do including Snape Maltings and The Red House just outside Aldeburgh. Would definitely love a return visit.
