What our customers say about their holidays
Prof Klich - Verified booking
We had a wonderful week at Box Cottage and would love to go back. The house was very clean and cosy with lovely furniture and two separate sitting rooms; the house is much more spacious inside than expected. The bath is amazing, it's massive, and the kitchen is well equipped and everything easy to use. We felt there was real care shown, with basics in the kitchen like salt and pepper, oil, lovely towels, shower gel, lots of board games and books, and a helpful guide book. Wifi was fast and reliable. The garden was great - it's fully enclosed so our labrador was safe, it's big enough she could run about and play, and pretty rustic with areas left to grow naturally. The roses and dahlias were really beautiful and though the garden isn't private per se, as the fence isn't high and people walking or driving past see into it, it's on a very quiet no-through road, so is very peaceful and we weren't disturbed (no one came to check on us, which is exactly what we'd prefer - we like the privacy). The location is great; Framlingham is a quick drive and has great shops and cafes, and a castle, and while we drove to places like Sutton Hoo, we also had a few days just walking on footpaths through the fields from the house and Dennington, with a pub and cafe, is only a twenty min walk or two min drive. The weather was unusually cold and wet, though gave us an excuse to put the fire on in the evening, which was lovely. So helpful having a big laundry/boot room too when coming home from a walk in the wet to dry off the dog and deal with muddy boots. Highly recommend and would happily stay again.

This was our first stay at Lismore Cottage. We were very pleased we chose it. It’s very comfortable & cosy. The decor, soft furnishings etc are lovely. A lot of thought has been given to make it feel very homely. And the kitchen is well equipped, the large range cooker is great if you decide to cook in. We loved the fact there was a very smart ceramic water bowl for our dog, and a freshly laundered dog bed as well, including a towel. We’ve never had that in a dog friendly cottage before, so were quite impressed, as was the dog!! A few things as a welcome pack, including fresh milk, and cake, a lovely touch. The garden is secluded, and was well looked after, which isn’t always the case with holiday cottages. As we were blessed with lovely weather, we were able to use & enjoy the garden a lot during our stay. The cottage is on a No through road, so was very quiet, & as it’s set back from the road, any traffic going to the end of the road is hardly noticeable. Generally felt the villagers who live there are on the whole welcoming & friendly. And having the shop (very good), bakers (excellent) & 2 pubs all within walking distance was great. There are lots of lovely walks you can do straight from the cottage, so that is a bonus as well. We had a very relaxing & enjoyable week here, & will return again in the future. I would just add, that the stairs are quite steep, so you need to take care. (But they were perfectly manageable, just don’t rush up or down them! )

A lovely spacious yet cosy little cottage, with more room than expected! We stayed during Christmas and it was beautifully decorated with decorations and a tree, we were greeted with a little gift of mince pies and crackers too. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you could possibly need to cook a Christmas dinner with a double oven. The wood burner was a lovely addition but we didn’t use it much due to the warmth of the cottage. The bedrooms are both lovely decorated and comfy, the little courtyard was perfect for our little pup too who was greeted with a pet bed and bowl which was very thoughtful. The location was ideal for us with having family near Woodbridge in Ipswich, we were not too far away. There’s plenty to do around including Jimmy’s Farm which is just down the road which is worth a visit. The owners were very thoughtful and went above and beyond for our Christmas stay, my little boy said he had a wonderful Christmas time here. I highly recommend and we will be looking to stay again when we’re down to see family in future. Thank you!

Lowlands Barn Annexe is in a great location to visit both Suffolk & Norfolk. It is in a peaceful location, right by the river Waveney. There are some lovely walks close by across the fields into Bungay & access to the Angle Way. Fen farm Dairy is right next door where you can purchase fresh milk, cheese, bread & other local produce. Bungay offers a wide range of individual shops & some great Tea rooms The Earsham Road cafe can be highly recommended as well as the Fleece inn for food. Wroxham Broads is only 30 mins drive & Bressingham Gardens is around 40mins away The Little fish & chip shop in Southwold is really good. The seafront is a few yards away from it where you can sit & eat your food. We had a lovely time & would recommend it for a lovely peaceful stay.
