  We loved our stay so much we could easily have moved in so will definitely be booking to stay again.

  We stayed for a week and felt very comfortable, everything was spotless and had all the facilities we needed including lots of extras in the kitchen cupboards such as baking trays, cheese grater and spare tea towel. It had an easy to use washing machine which was great for us being able to pack clean clothes to take back instead of having to do it once home. Our beds were excellent and we enjoyed being able to watch TV in bed early morning with our toddler like we do at home. The owners were available if needed and were very welcoming with 2 very friendly dogs who came to say hello to my little girl which she loved. Its located on their working farm but they didn't wake us or disturb us in any way it was generally very peaceful and lovely to hear the birds singing. The cottage is located a short car journey from Market Weighton which had several take aways and a little supermarket which we used and the local pub in Goodmanham was lovely for a couple of drinks and peaceful in their garden to.the side which had a little children's area. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend, thanks for making our stay so comfortable and also our little welcome pack which was very thoughtful

  Lovely property will gorgeous views. Ideal property for people with young children and or a dog. There is a large garden which is ideal for the children / dog to run. At the end of the garden and down some steps, careful they are a bit steep, there is sand and lots of rock pools. The village of Downderry really consists of a pub, restaurant, cafe and a village hall which occasionally does events. All these places are really good and the people friendly. The house is very comfortable with good sized beds and mattress's that are comfortable. The lounge dining table can sit 10 and the lounge area 7 comfortably, but you can of course bring up chairs from the dining area. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped although a small challenge if cooking for very large groups--but not impossible. overall an excellent property for the family which we would strongly recommend

  We have just returned from a family 4 day break at Groom's cottage.

  We had contacted Jo prior to our arrival and it was obvious from her texts that she was very welcoming. Gave advice of local supermarket and places to eat out which was a great help. On our arrival we were thrilled to see that what was shown online was actually correct. The cottage was beautiful and well maintained. It was very obvious that ALOT of work had gone into the cottage and it was decorated to a very high standard. Welcome pack was a lovely touch. The cottage is off the main road but is exactly what you need after a busy day out. We loved on an evening watching the hares and rabbits run about, an owl on one occasion and some bats. We would recommend anyone to choose this cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Yorkshire and a big part of this was our base to relax in.

  Gorgeous house in beautiful Kettlewell.

  We’ve stayed in Kettlewell many times over the past 20 years and Valley View is certainly one of nicest properties. We were amongst the first few rentals of this property and as you would expect there were one or two niggles. Nothing major, no mirror in attic bedroom to allow hair drying etc., easy to bump head on the low sloping ceiling in attic room when getting out of bed in the dark. The property has many pleasing aspects, great sound of the beck which runs at back of the property, real house plants, an extra fridge in kitchen, downstairs toilet in utility room and extremely comfortable mattresses to name but a few. Overall a fabulous property, we would love to stay there again in the future.

  A beautiful comfortable cottage, we had a lovely few days at the cottage which is one of the best we have ever stayed in, very clean , couldnt fault it.

  Amazing kitchen so well equiped and a great welcome pack including soya milk for me ......first time this has ever been offered .....thankyou. Bedrooms were great and lovely ensuites, so nice to have . A full length mirror in the far bedroom would be useful. Friendly hosts on hand to help if needed, lovely setting and plenty of parking. We drove to York and used the park and ride which was very easy and also visited the Railway Musuem and York Minster plus the Shambles shops . So much to do in York , we wish we could have stayed longer. Recommend the fish and chips in Market Weighton. We would certainly stay here again if in the area , overall a great time and would recommend Grooms Cottage
