Single holiday let sleeping up to 2 guests

Moored at Brixham Marina, with views of this pretty fishing port, sits Faithful; a beautifully refurbished fishing boat now designed as a shabby chic romantic retreat for two. Take a complementary dip and dine at the Berry Head Hotel (a swim and £10 towards your dinner). Visit Dartmouth and at the Dart Marina Hotel you may use the pool, steam room and hot tub free until 7.30pm.

She is ergonomically designed for fun, comfort and relaxation, If you have sailed all your life or never left dry land, there will be something on board just for you. The views are are amazing, the full king sized four poster bed is a dream, the covered back deck makes for a wonderful boat watching, and the steady sway of the river creates the most relaxing and soporific holiday. Dartmouth is just 3 miles away with its numerous fine bars and restaurants, boutiques and bistros, art galleries, the farmers markets, theatre, cinema, walks and places of historic interest.

Faithful was originally constructed in 1965, at Seashouses in Northumberland, in the bygone age of hand crafted ships built by Master Shipwrights who are now long retired. Made of solid oak beam framing, larch hull planking and pine decking she is beautiful inside and out. Faithful retired from fishing in the nineties then served as a diving boat for 6 years before Yvette and Mitch took on the challenge of transforming her into a surprisingly light, bright and airy holiday accommodation for two.

Within close proximity of Faithful there are so many things to see and do: Take a trip on the steam train along the banks of this beautiful river to Totnes, or ride the tides on the lovingly restored Coal fired paddle steamer "Kingswear Castle". Admire the array of activities that take place around you in a real working river, from fishing boats, to shell fish preparation to the busy water taxis, rowing teams practicing for regatta, the picnic boat gliding past, new arrivals and departures in fine yachts and expensive motor vessels, take part and be the captain yourself for the day by hiring your own sail or motor boat, explore the ragged coast line on numerous sea trips or take walk the rugged coastal path which eventually take you to some of the best beaches the West Country has to offer.

Kingswear Dartmouth and surrounds are truly areas of outstanding natural and architectural Beauty.

You won’t forget you’re on a boat due to an abundance of original features, plus stripy cushions, sail material, flags, bunting, and ropes alongside tasteful drift wood and other nautical articles all designed around Faithful’s own immense character.

The layout:

There are three cabins-The main large comfortable double (with four poster king size bed), and two, two-man cabins with offset bunks. These are open but not available to customers as Faithful works best as a romantic retreat just for two.
