What our customers say about their holidays

Location was lovely, walking distance to Loch Awe with access to large, beautiful gardens where the children could run around & play football.
House has good amount of space with very useful porch to take off dirty shoes etc before entering main house. Unfortunately the house was not very clean. Both showers were completely blocked with hair so they filled with water after about 30 seconds. We did not feel inclined to remove excess hair left by other guests. Both bathrooms and the kitchen have white carpet. The carpets were badly stained, ESP round the toilets and near the fridge. This was very disconcerting and difficult to keep clean. One of the showers also leaked so the floor was permanently wet. The kitchen was not well equipped; no dishwasher, no basic coffee making facilities, no dryer (it was almost impossible to get clothes dry), no supplies at all, not even salt and pepper, no tea towels ( we have never come across this before although it was mentioned in the brochure.) Good TV but poor set top box so the picture was blurred. Just a small amount of attention would make this place really super. The living room was spacious and comfortable and the beds were satisfactory. There was room for all of us to eat at the table and the layout worked well. Updating the kitchen and bathrooms would make a huge difference.

A wonderful week
Thank you for the wonderful joy of a week in your beautiful home. We had a really special time in your fascinating house and loved every moment. We admired the art work and tapestries and were particularly taken with the beautiful stained glass windows in the music room. We did not notice the bad weather as we just so enjoyed a change of scenery and the beautiful walks around Loch Lomond. I would definitely recommend hiking up Conic Hill as it is not too long although fairly steep. It takes about 1,5 hours and the views of the region are spectacular. We enjoyed a few more local walks from just above Hill House and along the Loch which were nice options on rainy days. We spent a day in Glasgow and so enjoyed the vintage shops and botanical gardens and my husband John was thrilled to spend a couple of afternoons fishing in the reservoir up the road. All in all we had a fabulous stay with so much to do and plenty of time for relaxing at home, reading, playing games and eating delicious meals cooked on the Aga. Many thanks for a wonderful week in a home that oozes charm and feels like a castle.

Highly recommend
We spent Easter 2022 at Loch Lomond Manor with our family and friends. It was the most fabulous experience staying at this beautiful Arts & Crafts house. The house is so warm and inviting with the most beautiful original interiors, stunning stained glass windows and very comfortable furniture. The garden surrounding the house is fantastic for children to play and explore. Endless fascinating books laid out to read, cosy fireplaces and art work decorating the walls so interesting to enjoy. Loch Lomond Manor has a real sense of a well loved family home, very unique and full of character and so welcoming from the moment you cross the threshold, It is one to experience and not to be missed and we highly recommend it.
