What our customers say about their holidays

We cannot recommend number 10 Crantock Reach more highly to anyone considering booking it in the future!
Everything about this wonderful apartment was exactly as advertised and then more. Spotlessly clean and maintained to the highest of standards. Directions provided were uncomplicated and really easy to follow and locate on arrival making the end of our very long journey stress free and we were able to gain quick access to enjoy a much appreciated and needed cup of tea and take half hour to relax before unpacking. The thoughtful cleaner very kindly left us a really unexpected welcome treat which comprised of two fresh scones in a lovely little box accompanied by delicious strawberry jam and cornish clotted cream waiting in the fridge! They went down fantastically with our cup of tea. In another thoughtful gesture we had also been provided with complimentary tea bags sugar and a pint of fresh milk these small personal touches really made us feel welcomed and at home. The beds were obviously of high quality because they were the most comfortable we've ever slept in (more comfortable than our own at home!) The bedding was fresh and spotless and made beautifully as were the towels also provided. The bathrooms were again spotless and of the highest spec and the tiled floors in both bathrooms made it so easy to keep clean and tidy. Throughout the living areas (which are highly spacious and well furnished) the wooden flooring was both functional and so stylish and again easy to keep clean and tidy. The bedrooms were both carpeted which gave a really cosy feel and there is so much space for luggage and places to hang coats and jackets in every room including the extremely spacious entrance hall and corridor which has lots of space to store footwear neatly out of the way. There was clearly so much attention to detail when this apartment was being furnished as a holiday let because there really isn't anything we can think of that wasn't provided to ensure everything we needed was to hand. On the morning of us departing (we really didn't want to go home

We paid £787 for 3 nights and expected more for our money.
The shower room was tiny, the sink was too small for my husband to shave in. The extractor fan ran continually which was very noisy and disrupted our sleep. There was visible mould on the walls in the shower room. The room obviously needs an outside window. The bedroom was dark and depressing and we spent as little time in it as possible. The window in the bedroom opened into the entrance porch and was not an outside window (this was not accurately described in the property details), we were therefore unable to get any fresh air into the bedroom. The bedroom had visible mould growing on the walls and smelt of mildew. the owners were trying to address the problem by placing a dehumidifier in the bedroom which we were asked to keep on at all times apart from at night. The lounge/kitchen was a good size and well stocked, however the kitchen cupboards all smelt of mildew. The whole property was very clean and in a great location. We are frequent travellers and have stayed in many holiday cottages and certainly feel short changed on this one. This is the first time we have ever given negative feedback. We feel a partial refund is appropriate. We felt we paid far too much at £787 for 3 nights.

We had a lovely stay in Pentire, the apartment was well fitted out with everything you need and comfortable.
We have just one tweak suggestion to the kitchen area and that is a coffee machine, they make such a difference to a coffee drinker. We did find it a bit of a hassle getting to the key safe via another padlock as it was dark when we arrived and there was no lighting. We booked our stay very last minute and unfortunately the house keeper got the wrong date so we couldnât get in on our arrival and the apartment needed to be turned around. However the housekeeper who was very apologetic quickly arrived and sorted everything out, she also kept in touch throughout our stay ensuring we had everything we needed. The apartment is in a great area for Fistral beach and a walk round the headland, whilst not being so busy and noisy as right in Newquay. Unfortunately the coaches for the hotel next door park by the apartment block and you do get a bit of noise from them when they arrive and depart. Being a third floor apartment you do get a good view outside (unfortunately not on the sea side) over the landscape. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will look to return.

This cottage is perfect, the outside seating area is pure tranquility especially in the morning listening to the birds.
The kitchen and lounge area is spacious and extremely welcoming, clean and tidy. On arrival there was a welcome gift of Red Wine and speciality chocolates. The kitchen area was clean and even had tea, coffee etc provided for which we didnât expect. Tom and Mary had sent us a welcoming text and a contact number if we needed anything at all. The beach is about a 15 minute walk away and is absolutely stunning especially at sunset, I would advise to walk down rather than driving down as the car parks get full very quickly. The local pub The Albion Arms are very friendly, recently they have changed to ordering via the App system which failed on the first night and left people waiting for over an hour, hopefully they have it sorted now. Overall the apartment is in a good location and is perfect for couples to escape to the quite village of Crantock. I would definitely recommend to friends and family and I would 100% stay there again.

Little Sea Shanty proved a fantastic find this Summer. The location was perfect for us. We had an easy walk to both Porth and Lusty Glaze beaches and small supermarkets so didn't use the car every day. It was also a great place to stay to explore further afield than Newquay. Sarah, the owner had thought of every little detail to make our week's stay enjoyable. The accommodation was carefully designed to use every bit of space effectively and the fixtures and fittings were high end. We are very fussy about beds and the bed was extremely comfortable. Sarah had left chocolate treats, prosecco and even M & S dog treats and a ball for our pooch! When she found out we were vegan, she returned with vegan treats too! Sarah and her partner also gave us useful local knowledge during our stay. Make sure you book this accommodation early as I imagine it will become very popular.
