  Ann & David were very friendly & welcoming.

  There was a welcome pack in the apartment which was both thoughtful and much appreciated. The apartment was extremly well appointed, clean and had everything we coud possibly need during our stay. The hosts had thoughtfully provided cards with details for resturants within the local and surrounding area which was very useful. There were also information leaflets on local walks, the many beautiful beaches in the area, and points of interest all with maps which are well worth exploring. The immediate area of Dinas Cross has a Pub, Chip Shop, petrol station with convenience store, which stocks a wide range of goods locally grown vegetables, fresh baked bread and cakes, fresh milk, and an off-licence. Our stay at The Swallows was a very relaxing one which we are going and looking forward to repeating in the future.

  Stunning location, good layout inside.

  Decor very tired and too many cobwebs and dust on light shades. Paint flaking off walks by front window (I do have photos that I took). We spent too much of our holiday disposing of our own rubbish every 2/3 days as owner had no rubbish collection and rubbish skips in local car park in Dale were locked. We had to buy bin bags and toilet rolls- never had to do this before. Mattress was old as was the bed linen. It was very clean but duvet fasteners were all broken so duvet kept trying to escape. Outdoor seating area was not as advertised as it was overgrown and we did not feel it was our place to cut it back. There was an alternative bench but no table to put drinks on. We had a great holiday but it could have been more relaxing and comfortable with a little updating and extra cleaning.

  So grateful the annex was heated well as most days we arrived back after a day walking in damp conditions which meant we had no issues drying everything.

  We would’ve found it helpful to have coat hooks somewhere. Kitchen is well equipped. The owners who live in the adjacent house are very friendly, helpful but not intrusive. Perfect location for accessing everywhere in North Pembrokeshire we wished to visit after a lapse of 7 years. The following comment is not in relation to the property itself. One reason we chose a property in Dinas Cross was because despite choosing a “self catering” let we do enjoy eating out as well and believed there would be 3 pubs/restaurants plus a fish & chip shop locally to eat at. 2 of the pubs are on the market, one of which serves only (very good) basket meals Thurs to Saturday, the second does not serve food at all and the third was never open. Fish and chip shop was one of the best ever.

  The cottage exceeded what it looked like in the photos.

  Very friendly hosts. Stunning area. Plenty to do and see. Superb for walking. Very dog friendly. Great facilities, managed to make home cooked meals without a problem. Lovely big fridge to keep fresh food for the whole week. Great to have a door between the kitchen and stairs to stop the dogs trying to go up. Also a great area behind the door to store things away from the dogs. Fully enclosed back garden for the dogs. Really nice area for them. Very clear rubbish instructions and good selection of leaflets and information about the area. Our personal preference would be a more comfy sofa we could snuggle in, but just personal preference and the time of year......it is impossible to cater for everyone’s tastes.

  The Swallows is a comfortable self catering property ideal for 2 and it had everything we needed for our stay.

  It was always warm and the patio was a lovely place to sit when the sun shone. Internet in the lounge was hit and miss as it doesn't go round corners but wasn't an issue. Locally there are 2 pubs. The Ship Aground opened 3 - 9pm and was mainly a drinking pub. The Freemasons offered a good menu Tuesday to Sunday lunchtime. Fish and chips at The Catch is highly recommended. Thd local petrol station was well stocked with provisions. There are several circular walks along the coast and inland from the property. The coastal walks offer stunning scenery. David the owner has made available details of various walks which were very useful. We would highly recommend the property and surrounding area.
