What our customers say about their holidays

There are a lot of positive things about this property.
It is beautifully decorated and all the furniture looks lovely. It is in a great position for the shops, cafes and waterfront. Parking is easy, it is quiet, and once the central heating is on, it is warm. There are a few things that are not so good though. The front door will not fully open so getting bags in and out is a bit awkward. All the internal doors are swollen so you have to pull hard to get them open and really push them to get them closed. As other people have said, the lighting in the main room is extremely poor and it is gloomy and difficult to read even with all the lights on. The lights themselves are strangely organised and we found it difficult to switch them on and off. The fire is very fiddly to light. Having the fridge outside of the kitchen is a bit annoying when you're preparing food. I felt it would make much more sense to have the fridge in the kitchen, and get rid of the kitchen table, as having two dining tables and two sets of dining chairs seemed unnecessary to me. It was a nice gesture to find a bottle of milk in the fridge. We used it, but too late realised it was off and our food and drinks were spoiled. We looked at the bottle and it said use by 6th October. We arrived as arranged on 8th October. I appreciate that this was a genuine mistake but it didn't get the holiday off to a great start. The bathroom is also quite difficult to use and the shower and bath are hard to access for anyone with even slightly reduced mobility. Some of these issues would be less difficult in the summer, and for some people they would not be issues at all. It really is a very well presented house. It was big enough for two of us; I feel it would be a bit of a squeeze for four people, but again in the summer, it would probably be easier.

Absolutely fabulous!
Perfect cottage in a perfect position. The very private south facing garden was heaven; breakfast with the morning sun at one end of the garden and dinner as the sun goes down at the other end - perfect! I have never been to a cottage that was so well equipped - literally everything that you could require on your hols was provided; from torches in the bedroom to sun loungers and a wind break in the shed, nothing was overlooked. Lovely library of books and DVDs. All mod cons. Cottage was spotless and beautifully designed. Very restful decor - lovely shades of duck-egg blue and everything co-ordinated; a lot of thought and care has been taken to make this a blissful haven and retreat. We felt immediately at home and relaxed. Position was perfect, just a short walk from the seafront and all amenities. Parking was easily found on local side streets, not too far away. Beaumaris is a thriving little seaside village with something for everyone and with a lovely olde worlde aura. Picturesque and traditional with the enchanting charm of yesteryear for the discerning traveller. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your sublime little home. We would love to visit again and would highly recommend this cottage for all.

Our first time using Sykes, we are impressed and will not hesitate to use Sykes again.
The property exceeded our expectations because the photos and explanation couldnât do it justice - it has to be seen! The location is perfect for walking to shops, restaurants etc in Beaumaris itself, but also perfect to use as a base when exploring Anglesey. The cottage lacked nothing in the way of equipment and facilities, right down to choice of summer or winter duvet, should we have needed to change, and deck chairs in the garden shed! The bed was so comfortable we even took a photo of the mattress label, hoping to buy the same when we next need a new mattress at home. One tiny little suggestion, if we may - please fit a shower screen. This would surely help to preserve the wood shelf and flooring at the back of the bath, by the toilet, where there is a tendency for water to escape from behind the shower curtain, however careful one tries to be when showering. On one or two days we noticed some water had got past the shower curtain and dripped onto the shelf and floor - and we are used to shower curtains! All in all, we spent a fabulous week exploring Anglesey and hope to return.

Lovely little cottage.
Well equipped kitchen where everything was thought of. I even did my washing before I left. Probably a new sofa and chairs wouldnât go amiss. The only real negative would be the television. It took a day to get it working. Itâs freesat and a signal nightmare. Top tip.,if you will use the tv and have a fire stick then take it with you We did and it was a godsend. Other than that it was perfect. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds . Beaumaris is lovely. Plenty to see and do. Nice shops and cafes.,The cottage is a 10 minute walk to town. The George and dragon pub does lovely fish n chips.donât bother with the fish n chip shops. They donât get particularly good reviews, donât look clean and are run by teenagers who probably canât be bothered. The Sunday lunch was also great at the George. All in all a lovely stay.

Beaumaris is probably the best area to stay as its small but with plenty of facilities and has a great location for touring the island.
Bryn Haf is a lovely house, thoughtfully refurbished, furnished in traditional style rather than contemporary, but extremely tasteful and excellent quality pieces Such a bright and sunny house it gets the sun all day, and the back garden is a fantastic suntrap in the afternoon. The house has everything we could have wanted for our week there, including a hairdryer which may not be listed online Feedback to Sykes local representative about a bedroom window that didnt open was dealt with immediately when the office next opened. The house was spotless, but I did point out to Sykes locally a couple of things that should be taken into consideration for future renters All in all we had a wonderful stay, and we would highly recommend Bryn Haf......Enjoy your stay :)
