What our customers say about their holidays
Christopher - Verified booking
We had a wonderful stay and the glorious weather was such a bonus to appreciate the beautiful setting of Down The Rabbit Hole.
We appreciated the eclectic style and attention to detail - I think there is everything there you could possibly need for a great holiday - with many thoughtful additions such as umbrellas, a pack of toothbrushes/razors in case you forgot to pack them. We loved watching the planes coming and going from Bristol airport (I will add they were in the distance and not over-head so there was no noise pollution). Down The Rabbit Hole is well positioned for the coast and so many tourist attractions. There were no negatives for us at all - the only things I would say are - it would be worth mentioning in the details there is a ramp/walkway as well as the couple of steps up to the cabin (if you have restricted mobility). Although completely flat inside there is a threshold to the front and patio door entrances so not suitable for a wheelchair. The fridge door tends to swing back and hit the wall and I noticed black paint marks on the wall and missing paint where the fridge catches the wall (top left corner) - maybe helpful to save your fridge by sticking a small rubber protector to the wall to prevent further damage. We loved the welcome pack (thank you for providing) - the yogurt would probably have been better in the fridge than in the hamper as it was a really hot day and had been sat there for quite a few hours before we arrived. Those comments are just to be helpful as we absolutely loved our stay and would have liked to stay longer - but it was not available so we are sat inside another holiday cottage writing this review. We would have no hesitation in returning and recommending to others.

What a lovely cabin, we arrived on the 28th December and we walked into a warm cosy cabin the Christmas tree was lit and we couldnât of asked for a more warmer welcome!
The accommodation is spacious and very clean. The welcome pack was lovely and they have literally thought of everything you could possibly need which was brilliant as we wanted to visit the local butcher and do some cooking. The information pack was clear and had lots of info on places to visit. The location of the cabin was perfect for getting around and there is so many things to do and place to dine in the surrounding areas would highly recommend a visit to the wells market and cathedral and Cheddar. I will say if you wanted to walk to the local pub it could be a little dangerous as no actual pathway but we didnât try out the golf club which could be an option but for us this was a good thing as wanted to recover from Christmas anyway lol. The hosts are fantastic as due to heavy rain our lights went out and within minutes David was with us to get the problem sorted out. My only issue which isnât a big thing it just would just of been great for me being lazy in the morning if there was a fenced in area we could just let the dog out and if we return in the summer which we would like to do we wouldnât have to worry about the patio doors being open and him running off. A great stay and a great place would highly recommend a stay here!

Spent a week here at Down the Rabbit Hole and I can honestly say we have had a wonderful time.
We're here with my mother-in-law and our aging fur baby. The accommodation is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. There's everything you need in the kitchen if you want to cook, books in the lounge if you want a quiet read, a lovely outside area to sit and watch the planes coming and going from Bristol airport and a good sized modern TV if that's what you prefer. We've been very lucky with the weather, we haven't had any rain so far after all the downpours so far this year! There's plenty to explore in the area and there's a couple of pubs a short drive away if you don't fancy cooking. Just a couple of suggestions and these are but no means criticisms...a bit more drawer space in the double and twin bedrooms and maybe a couple of those oval shaped clothes peg sock dryer things lol. This accommodation is like a home from home. It's cozy, quirky and peaceful. I would definitely recommend it and would most certainly go again. Thank you Amanda and David for a lovely welcome and a wonderful stay!

A fabulous cottage in a lovely village.
We visited with our small terrier and the garden is secure enough to let him wander in and out of the cottage without worrying that he'd find a way out. The double bed is soft and comfy and the water was properly hot whenever we needed it. The kitchen is well equipped. There are excellent walks to be done from the doorstep with no need for driving. Our car is far too large to park in the lane outside but we were able to unload and load without problem. We were able to park in the carpark for the village hall which is one minute walk away (a permit is available if you ask at the village hall). The village shop is literally on the corner (open 8-8) and there are three village pubs, one of which, The New Inn, has one of the best views from a beer garden I've ever seen. We really can't say too much about this comfortable, clean cottage and its great location and are probably about to book another stay.

My son, husband and myself with our two cockapoos had the most fabulous week âDown the Rabbit Holeâ Log cabin no.
3. Apart from every day was brilliant sunshine (our week was 14th - 21st Sept) the cabin itself was SO well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a home from home break. A lovely well received welcome basket was not the only ânice touchâ things like useful things you may have forgotten to pack, dishwasher tablets, laundry liquid etcâ¦â¦ The large flat screen tv had a fabulous picture, the WI-FI was excellent we had absolutely no need for heating or to even light the fabulous looking log burner. The super king size bed was very comfortable, great showers even a bath. The area was peaceful and both dogs had a super holiday like we did ! We sat on the modern deck chairs on the patio with a glass of wine watching the odd aeroplane fly into Bristol Airport in the distance - the most relaxing holiday Iâve had in a while will definitely be returningâ¦â¦â¦.
