  A blissful week's Stay at Lovely Lily's Pads Dog Friendly lodge in Okehampton Devon Our week-long stay at Lovely Lily's Pads was an absolute delight!

  From the moment we arrived, John and Sarah made us feel incredibly welcome. Their warm hospitality set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The accommodation itself was immaculate and well-appointed. The decor was charming, blending modern conveniences with a cozy, rustic feel. It was clear that a lot of thought had been put into making the space comfortable and inviting. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring we had restful nights throughout our stay. One of the standout features of Lovely Lily's Pads is its dog-friendly policy. We brought our furry baby harry along, and he had just as much fun as we did. The property has plenty of space for dogs to run around and explore, with a huge inclose field for him to run freely which was a lovely surprise and making it a hassle-free experience for pet owners. Okehampton itself is a charming town with plenty to offer. We explored the local shops, the castle and Simmons park, was also a nice treat one evening when we ordered fish and chips which was recommended by John. The location of Lovely Lily's Pads was ideal for day trips to nearby attractions, including Dartmoor National Park, which was breathtaking an many more others. John and Sarah were always on hand to offer recommendations and ensure we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests made a huge difference. In summary, our stay at Lovely Lily's Pads in Okehampton was fantastic. The dog-friendly environment, excellent accommodation, and the hosts' hospitality made it a memorable experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming retreat, in the peaceful countryside of Devon especially those traveling with pets.   Really lovely pod, perfect for the two of us and our dog. We loved the hot tub and found the whole pod absolutely lovely to stay in. However there are some things that we were slightly disappointed with. The pod is dog friendly and we loved the little box of treats and dog bowls, however there is not security for the dog, no gate to the cabin area mean that the dog could very easily get out into the field and subsequently the road, we were lucky that we bought something to block the entry way, so might be something to note for future stays. We would have also liked some more information on arrival, there is an info pack, but it seemed to miss out things such as recycling, how to use the hot tub etc. We also arrived to some sort of meat item which was half frozen in the fridge, we were so unsure as to what this was to begin with, as it was just in a sandwich bag and we thought that it had just been left by previous guests. Although there were some negatives, the positives really outweighed them. The pod is beautiful, don’t up to a great standard, beautiful location and was just perfect for what we needed. We will thoroughly looking to book another trip here later in the year, and would recommend to anyone.

  Lily’s Pad is a beautiful holiday home set in a stunning location.

  Lily’s Pad felt like home from the moment we arrived and had absolutely everything we needed for a lovely relaxing holiday. The owners were lovely, warm, friendly and very welcoming. They made contact prior to our arrival to pin drop the exact location to help us find the holiday home and also offered to put up a football net for our 10 year old son which he absolutely loved. The owners left some treats to enjoy on arrival and brought us a delicious mid-week treat too. The owners were happy to make suggestions and recommendations for activities in the area and further away as well as places of interest, places to buy provisions and where to eat and drink. There is a beautiful enclosed garden with picnic table to sit at and enjoy the views. We really didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to rebook and visit again next year. Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful holiday home with us. It was a truly wonderful place to stay with amazing owners.

  A nice place to stay with everything we needed, well positioned too.

  This was first time we'd gone anywhere with our dog and he was made welcome. I would recommend it as a nice enough place to stay without a dog too! All I'd question is that the living room is upstairs and kitchen downstairs which makes it difficult to persuade a dog to go back downstairs to sleep if you've been watching TV upstairs together. Hence ours slept upstairs in the living room. We had covers in case he went on the sofas. But he could nudge open our bedroom door easily so we had some disturbed nights. I did find the lounging chair very comfy to sleep on during those nights. On windy nights the light kept going on outside which shone into the living room spooking the dog. There's a washing machine but you need to check the owners aren't already using it. It's a bit ancient and is used a lot. Lovely owners though. Helpful. Chatty. Generous. Thoughtful. I'd go back, but without the pooch.

  We had a wonderful ,peaceful ,comftable week at Bearscombe cottage .

  the views from the balcony were beautiful ,to sit and watch the wildlife and listen to the birds was amazing . The owners were so nice and friendly and helpful which makes a differance to any self catering holiday .The cottage was beautifully furnished ,everything you need home from home . Even left milk and a lovely surprize a bottle of fizz . The family really enjoyed the privicy of the heated swimming pool . There was not a problem sharing with the other couple , just used at differnt times . The added bonus was being able to take the two dogs , The grounds were amazing for lakeside walks and picnics . We are definatly going back to Bearscombe ,Yes the lane to the property is narrow but this was not an issue .
