  This stay was truly a little slice of paradise.

  The owners John and Angela were the kindest and most welcoming hosts I have ever stayed with. My partner and I stayed over new years, and the views from this home did not disappoint! We had wonderful views overlooking the valley towards Exeter, with ancient woodlands and rolling fields surrounding us. The stay was cosy, incredibly clean, and the attention to detail was so appreciated. From the cupboard with books and board games to use during the stay, to the fully equipped kitchen which was fantastic to cook hearty meals in. The bathroom was spacious, and the bath was luxurious. Super comfy bed and pillows too! Our favourite aspect were the purebred sheep and friendly donkeys on site, who the owners very kindly introduced us to. Although we were not able to use the hot tub for the duration of our stay, the owners and Sykes cottages were extremely helpful with making sure we had anything else we could need. I would highly suggest this stay for any couples wishing to have a relaxing stay, with ample walks and adventures only a short distance away. I hope to return in the near future to stay again!

  Forget-me-not Bungalow was absolutely perfect for us and our 2 French bulldogs. The setting was beautiful and quiet. The bungalow provided everything we could have wished for. Having a washing machine was very handy. Next time we won’t take as much clothes as we can just wash them. The lodge in the garden was perfect to sit in and look across to the wetlands, or watch the TV or just listen to the fountain in the pond. The bungalow is within literally just a few minutes car journey to places like Lyme Regis, Seaton, Sidmouth, Beer and The Donkey Santuary and so much more. The bus stop is virtually on the doorstep should you wish to take the bus instead. The owners met us on arrival and gave us a quick tour of the bungalow, showing us what was where and gave us some good advise on places to visit. They also left treats for us and our doggies. We were blessed with the most amazing weather and Devon is beautiful. We will most definitely be booking to come to this lovely bungalow again and highly recommend it.

  Post Box Cottage, a beautiful, quirky and cosy cottage in the depths of Dartmoor, which means narrow roads, beautiful walks and stunning scenery close by.

  The cottage is well equipped and welcoming, the kitchen serves its purpose with everything close to hand, the dining area is tastefully furnished and the lounge perfect, no doubt in the colder months the log burner will help provide that little extra touch of cosiness. When you climb the steep curved staircase you are greeted by a modern and spacious landing converted to a luxurious bathroom, there is a large shower and inviting bath. The adjacent bedroom is spacious and the king size bed comfortable. We were the first guests at Post Box cottage and enjoyed our stay, our two four legged friends loved the long walks but struggled with the short late evening dark walk for convenience purposes. There is courtyard parking adjacent to the cottage but access is difficult and quite steep particularly if you have a low car. There is additional parking close by but this can also be a challenge.   Forget Me Not Bungalow, adorable, beautiful, clean, tidy home from home holiday let. We stayed 24th/31st August 2024. Sad to leave the place. A very warm welcome from the owners, including our little Yorkie dog Coco. Treats for us, dog and fresh bowl water for her on arrival. Didnt really need to take much, theres plenty utensils, towels and freshly made bed to perfection. Going to definately re book. The garden is blooming and gorgeous, with steps up to Summer house, with settee, tv, radio. Really lovely to sit in day or night. Ideal holiday home, set in a quiet avenue. We had the car, so visited Sidmouth, Weymouth, Lyme Regis. All not too far and so lovely knowing your returning to Forget Me Not. The owners have done a grand job!. Highly recommended. Theres also buses that run to Sidmouth, Lyme Regis. Bus stops just round corner on main road. Dog friendly place, even on buses. Xx

  Property felt very clean and fresh on arrival. Great location and views. Spacious balcony with comfortable furniture to eat outside and enjoy the views. Comfortable beds. Everything we needed was there. Heating was efficient for chilly May evenings. Quiet location but easy access to Brixham. We enjoyed the walk to Brixham via Battery Gardens and the coastal path with lovely views on the way. For driving into Brixham, we used the Oxon Cove car park. Easy to get to from the property and a short level walk to the Harbour etc. Several restaurants in Brixham had made provision for outside seating, so despite Covid restrictions we managed to eat out several times and had good food everywhere. The property is well situated for visiting places such as Torquay, Paignton, Dartmouth and also the National Trust properties Greenways and Coleton Fishacre.
