  Sadly disappointing.

  This property was meant to accommodate up to 6 people but no bedding was provided for the pull out bed in the living room. The flat could have been cleaner with dust on several surfaces. Very cramped for a family of 4, with only a small shower room. The listing stated laundry facilities were available, but when we went to use the laundry during our stay, this was closed due to coronavirus, we were not informed of this prior to our stay or on arrival, which was very frustrating, especially with a pre-schooler potty training. Hot water was not constant, you needed to push a button everytime you wanted a shower, which caught us out on our first night after a day out at the beach. Location was excellent however and very convenient for Bude, I think if a bit more care was made around cleanliness, availability of facilities and communication this would be fine for a couple. Please note the property doesn't allow dogs but several other apartments do and so there were several dogs using the outside area for their toilet needs.

  We had a fabulous Christmas stay at Penhaven.

  Spacious and very comfortable, just as described. It was great having the family space downstairs and separate lounge upstairs with plenty of comfortable seating. The local shop next door is excellent, and was even open for a couple of hours on Christmas/boxing day. Crackington is a lovely, friendly place and people would say hello and chat when we walked our dogs. The walk to the beach took us about half an hour. It is a big hill, but not all the way! At the beach is a fabulous pub called Coombe Barton, we popped in several times for drinks and food, dog friendly too. There is a lovely looking cafe down there too, but we didn't get a chance to try that. A wonderful house, in a spectacular location, even in wet and very windy December!

  Penhaven worked really well for our family get together.

  The house is well equipped and comfortable. The welcome basket was lovely. Supplies were made available and although we came well-stocked ourselves, we were grateful to find rice when I couldn't find ours at the 11th hour. We made good use of all the spaces including the garden. The bunk beds would only work for children, so 8 adults is about the max it can comfortably accommodate. Crackington Haven is a beautiful spot, the pub and bay is a 25 minute walk away, longer on the way back because it's uphill. There are lots of interesting places nearby, great if you have your own transport, and also much of it is on a bus route - although we didn't try this out. I would love to come back here.

  Atlantic Reach is a great property for a large party.

  We have stayed here before but before the additional rooms were added. This upgrade was a welcome touch. The new wrap around decking and the additional sitting room was great. The house itself has everything you need and was spotlessly clean. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and the kitchen is large enough for everyone to help with meals. The awesome Widemouth beach is only 5 minutes walk away which is a big plus. Carvery on Sunday and Thursday at the nearby Widemouth Manor is well worth a trip. I highly recommend Atlantic Reach for a relaxing family getaway. We will definitely be returning.

  A very well appointed house, which had been described and depicted accurately on the website.

  There was room for everyone to be comfortable and secure. The CoVid-19 restrictions meant that our time there was a little shorter, with fewer soft furnishings ( eg cushions and throws). The brochure was sent to us electronically which was very helpful, but there were no takeaway menus to peruse etc. Because of the nature of our party, we stayed in for the most part, and the house absorbed us all with no bother. The view from the enclosed garden was lovely. A super house which we agreed was one of the best we had stayed in- I would love to return, post-pandemic .
