  Fantastic property and a great base to discover Cambridgeshire We had a lovely welcome from Kai who met us at the property just as we arrived.

  This is a very well equipped property right in the centre of Ely.Very comfy beds and plenty of hot water from the large shower. The kitchen was very well equpped and a lovely welcome basket was a nice touch. Easy parking right next to the property which was very handy as the area is double yellow lines for most of the centre. The car only moved once during the whole week of our stay as we visited places on the train which was more relaxing than driving and finding parking.There are plenty of nice restaurants in the area and all easy to walk to and 2 minutes from the centre with lots of shops and a market. We would highly recommend this property and would love to stay again. Thank-you.

  Great apartment in a great location.

  Everything was spotless, the kitchen was well-equipped, the apartment was warm, and the wi-fi worked well. It’s right by the centre of Ely, yet down a quiet side street so you have the best of both worlds. An allocated parking space is a definite plus. Lots to see and do nearby including the cathedral, the museum and Oliver Cromwell’s house. The train station is within walking distance and a trip to Cambridge is quick and cheap. I’ve stayed in lots of properties this year as I’ve been travelling round the country and this has been my favourite. Highly recommended.

  Lovely week away in this very well appointed property.

  It's right next to the main street in Ely so you've got easy access to shops, restaurants etc. Lots of things to see and do within a short distance-we visited the cathedral as it was free entry for the weekend and I highly recommend it along with the stained glass museum which is located inside. Station is a short walk, we did a day trip to Cambridge on the train. Lovely welcome pack and it was nice having the owner meet us at the property to show us around. Only slight negative is not being able to arrive before 5 means you do hit a lot of traffic.

  The apartment is lovely - clean, comfortable, cosy and convenient.

  It's beautifully furnished and provides a wonderful base from which to explore Ely and its surrounding countryside. The owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful with recommendations for places to eat. We spent a relaxing week combining reading, touring and just wandering around Ely itself. Having a different market every day in the Market Place was great - and there was virtually no noise from it. Altogether a very restful and comfortable holiday. We would definitely recommend a stay at The Hoist.

  Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the flat was clwan and well presented and a pleasure to stay in.

  The kitchen is small, but we ate out throughout our stay so not an issue. I wouldn't like to cater for 4 in it though. Parking is eccentric! An adequate space, but accessed by reversing into the space at an angle and down a small but steep incline into an enclosed area. Not for the faint hearted. However, Ely boasts a number of free large car parks which are very convenient. We did have problems with a workman's van blocking entry once, but once we'd tracked him down he left.
