What our customers say about their holidays

We had an amazing stay at the end of September into early October and was amazed at just how spacious the apartment is.
I have been meaning to send a review for a few weeks now but haven't had a chance. Above everything else I have to say that the bed is the comfiest bed I have slept in for a long time. I brought my mum to Devon for a week so having a spacious two bedroom apartment was essential and meant that whilst I had the master bedroom with ensuite my mum had a more than comfortable sized double size bedroom and the main bathroom with her own bath. ( I have seen a review suggesting that there was not enough hot water for a bath which was not the case during our stay ). We enjoyed having the option to eat breakfast out on the balcony area in addition to a well sized dining table. We were out most nights wether it be to dine or socialise but it was nice to come back to a large comfortable sofa and a smart TV to recline before bed. I also loved that the lift outside the door took you straight down to the underground secure parking and the allocated parking space is actually the space next to the car park entrance from the lift. So very handy ! The apartment is also around a 10/15 minute walk to The Hoe and The Barbican which was perfect for our stay. The views from the apartment are phenomenal. There is also a handy little one stop shop over the road for day to day bits. I have read some comments regarding scaffolding and maintenance issues that were present when we were there but it is clear that this is a maintenance issue relating to the building and not the apartment itself and can easily be avoided by using the lift therefore it didn't affect our stay. Thank you for a lovely stay in your beautiful apartment. John & Carol

Beautiful cottage a real home from home and WHAT a view.
The accommodation is beautifully presented, well supplied and very clean. Beds are comfortable and all linen is of a high quality. Plenty utensils and crockery, enough for everyone. Everything has been thought through here and the owners have done an excellent job of making this a lovely cottage to stay in. Plenty hot water and heating efficient. There are some beautiful walks with stunning views (weather permitting) on the South West costal path, some pretty villages but take care some very narrow. The downside is the steps, steeper than we thought and some steps are deep and a bit slippy in the wet especially with fallen leaves on, also hand rail was broken halfway down and very slimy from wet. Great caution is needed even for the fittest of people, the step issue should be more highlighted in the description. Also it says dog friendly but I would think seriously about taken dogs, the steps down to lower floor in cottage to front are not good for dogs, they slip and can't get grip as no carpets. You need to keep your dogs on leads and watch carefully. Keep your luggage to a light and compact for carrying up and down.

The word penthouse implies to many people a sense of luxury - the view from this property is certainly stunning & we enjoyed watching the ferries, yachts and boats.
It is also very spacious. It was great to have a secure space for parking under the building. Sadly, there were many negatives which did not meet our expectations for a penthouse. The patio doors were very hard to open & close and were not water tight. The sofa & chair are not at all comfortable; very low & difficult to get up from. The dining chairs are too low for the table. The kitchen is very compact & thereâs no storage space for items not belonging in the fridge like bread, tins etc. The shower, being electric, is feeble & inconsistent in temperature. The shower head kept falling off the holder. There was not enough hot water for a bath. The building itself and the surrounding âblockâ are very run down. There is still scaffolding but there were not any workmen all week. The hallway on our floor had a hole in the ceiling & a rotten windowsill and skirting board. Many issues are down to a maintenance company or companies, however, the penthouse really needs a lot of TLC to be fantastic.

Great place for spectacular views across the harbour and watching the ferries in and out.
Walking distance from shops, restaurants, cinemas makes it a perfect location. Apartment spacious - very light, but hot when sun shining in. Imagine summer months would need all windows/doors open as glass all round but there are some fans provided. We caught Storm Norman so wind and rain interspersed with some sun. Lovely apartment but some things overlooked - reed diffusers there but empty, clean but dust on ledges, carpet edges and mirrors, no fan in en-suite, no instructions to turn shower on (pull long cord behind door), broken catch on second bedroom window. Sounds like an episode of 'Four in a bed' (being picky) but it didn't spoil the enjoyment of our stay as the apartment as a whole, location, views and underground parking space made it a perfect place to stay to explore Plymouth and surrounding areas.

Fantastic location, high quality facilities (kitchen/bathroom/en -suit/utility area) and very well maintained.
* Directly on the path for costal walks in both directions, 1/2 hr into the local villages (and beyond) and in the other direction to a stunning peninsula. *had an issue on the first night with an external alarm sounding, something to do with the drainage system. I called the maintenance number which was answered immediately and the "fault" rectified within the hour. I also know the owner was involved by phone and was very interested to be updated. For me this was a very good indication that if issues arise they will be dealt with asap. What more can one expect ? ;-) Recommendation = 9 rather than 10. Only because due to the steps leading to the property one would have to give a caveat to some groups (I am 56 and I got up and down 2/3 times a day but I could imagine some would struggle)
