  What a wonderful find Waylands was.

  I booked very last minute for a couple of nights peace and quiet with my dog and I wasn't disappointed. I was greeted by the owner when I arrived who was very friendly and helpful. The place itself was amazing, a beautiful view over the fields and hills and the White Horse of Uffington in the distance. There was lots of space for my dog to roam but its not enclosed, I took a lead hook to stop him disappearing. Inside Waylands, it was spotless and so well set up. It had everything I needed, salt, pepper, even a garlic press!. There was a bottle or prosecco in the fridge and a bottle of milk which was a lovely touch. There were toiletries laid out in the bathroom as well. The sleeping area was so cosy and really comfortable. It was Idyllic and really quiet, its also very dark, not light pollution so great for star gazing but lots of outdoor lighting to use with lots of seating. Another bonus is that its not totally isolated, the village shop is just round the corner as is the local pub and lots to do locally. It also has very strong 4G if you dont want to be totally off grid. Thank you for a wonderful stay

  This was our second visit to Watts Cottage. It was just as cosy and comfortable as the first time and very well equipped. The large conservatory was a lovely, light space during the day, and the living room a cosy refuge with a wood-burner for the colder nights. The stairs are scarily steep, with the bathroom downstairs, but this adds to the character of the cottage, as long as you are careful. The main bedroom is spacious, peaceful and very comfortable. Our dogs loved the garden. It’s not often that we find somewhere that is properly dog proofed. The location is great too, with the pub and community shop within walking distance. Both Norwich and the lovely beaches at Great Yarmouth are within easy reach by car. We would definitely recommend Watts Cottage.

  A fabulous cottage in a very quiet and relaxing location. The village with its pub and community shop is a gentle 15 minute stroll away. Plenty of walks from the doorstep and the garden is also very secure for the dogs. Off street parking is available at the property. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The conservatory is huge and is a lovely place to sit and relax . We used this all the time. We really enjoyed our stay here and will return. The owners live next door and are on hand if you need them. Overall a beautiful cottage and a one we will definitely return to. Thank you for a lovely week.

  What a brilliant week Our hosts Jayne and Phillip were really helpful and full of information about where to eat and all the walks in the area, and left us a really tasty cake to welcome us. The broads are right on your door step. The cottage has everything you need for a week away, however the stairs were steeper then we realised , but you do get used to them.The white horse pub in the village does really great food we had takeaways and Sunday Lunch in the garden. The community shop is great for forgotten essentials and and really tasty chutney's. Very dog friendly, We would definitely book again.

  We had a very enjoyable stay at |Lavender Cottage.

  After a very long journey mainly due to roadworks and accidents we arrived at Lavender Cottage in the dark later than anticipated but Rihan welcomed us and showed us into the cottage which was warm cosy and spotlessly clean. We had some Welsh cakes and a welcome pack of biscuits waiting for us!. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot. The cottage is in an ideal place to explore the surrounding area. Lavender cottage was very well equipped and in our opinion if anyone stays here and is not satisfied then they are very hard to please. Mr & Mrs Wright Essex
