What our customers say about their holidays

The cottage had all the facilities you could need.
Kitchen utensils pans trays, towels, hangers etc Was in a quiet but pleasant location. Some nice touches such as welcome pack. The thing that was our biggest concern and let down was that the cottage felt damp. When you walked in each day after being out -it smelt and felt damp. Our bedding in the main bedroom was damp and I had to tumble dry it a couple of times as wasnât comfortable getting into bed with it feeling that way. We aired the second bedroom bedding each day also rather than make the bed to try and help this room also. We do appreciate it is an old cottage ( and have previously lived in an old cottage ourselves ) but it isnât acceptable for us to have to wash all of our clothes when we arrive back home due to the smell and feel of them after them being in the cottage. My husband and son have asthma, so we tried to spend as much time out of the cottage as possible to avoid this affecting them. Would definitely recommend someone checks this out and quite importantly remedies this issue for other guests. Unfortunately we would not recommend this cottage.

Absolutely Fabulous in every way possible.
Just back from a 10 day stay. Such a beautiful setting and very comfortable accommodation. The bed is amazing we had the best sleeps so comfortable but lovely with the door open to hear the birds early in the morning. We walked into Penzance for the ferry to the Isles of Scilly and also along the coast to Mousehole. Also walked to St Michaels Mount. The village has a great pub loved the Korev Cornish Lager and watching the cars negotiate the junction outside the pub. Haydee and John have an amazing barn and the welcome pack was also brilliant especially the apple juice from their orchards. We also had beautiful cornflowers and potatoes freshly harvested from the farm to enjoy. We loved our stay and want to return again soon. Thank you so much for one of the best holidays we have had. The view from the kitchen window and back garden are beautiful and the cottage is handy for the local shop, pub and bus stops.
Sadly the chip shop and tapas restaurant have closed which was disappointing. The cottage is cozy and clean and a slight problem we had on arrival was speedily sorted by the delightful Tessa along with the handyman. We did find the stairs a challenge as the head height is very low, and the downstairs bathroom is not ideal, but of course we knew this when we booked . Sadly we didnât have the best weather but the wood burning stove was great and kept us warm. I would have liked a little more in the way of reading lamps, books, throws, and maybe a small radio for the kitchen but overall the cottage was very well equipped with beautiful towels, bedding, kitchen wear etc. The complimentary wine, toiletries etc was a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

We always go camping, so this was a real change for us.
We hugely appreciated arriving to find scones, clotted cream and jam and enough supplies for a few rounds of tea and coffee! The cottage was lovely and clean (it had clearly been totally disinfected prior to our arrival), and the kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated the fact that with Covid 19 the staff wanted to ensure that everyone had at least two swims guaranteed - and we booked these in as soon as we arrived. We had the outdoor pool to ourselves and shared the (quite large) indoor pool with one other family, with a rope separating us. The staff at the bar and the restaurant were really welcoming and friendly. All in all, it was a really lovely stay - a real treat for us as a family! Many thanks.

We had a great stay.
Apple Blossom is very comfortable and a real sun trap. Particularly enjoyed the comfy sofa, ideal for naps after a long walk. Although next to the ownerâs property there is privacy and sun chairs should you have good weather. Location is ideally suited to reach all the southern spots of Cornwall which means you don't have to spend long stretches in the car. We really liked walking from the door into Penzance, Newlyn and to Marazion. Not far from the main roads into Penzance yet still a quiet place to relax. Would highly recommend.
