We are loving out stay at Lavender Cottage; the fresh cut flowers on arrival, the fact the place was cosy-warm right from the get-go (we arrived after dark). There was just us two and the pooch, so plenty of room. The weather was perfect so we saw the place at its very best - so beautiful. Loved the wood-burning stove and using the half-and-half Aga to cook dinner, the occasional lunch and other odds and sods. Gurney's in Burnham market has the best fish. Deepdale market is super handy and there are endless places (mostly pubs) for meals out. The walk from here over to Barrow Common, then round the common is gorgeous - Oso loved it. This is our second time in the area, both times we were blessed with lovely weather. Hopefully that will be the case when we return in the very near future. Thanks for letting us stay for a few days and deep appreciation to the team at Norfolk Hideaways. All the best.

Just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at Fallow Folly Barn which is so beautifully presented and comfortable with plenty of space to accommodate our family of six adults and a baby. The barn was spotlessly clean and the kitchen very well equipped. Heidi and Hugh were perfect hosts, very friendly and greeted us on arrival and provided a very generous welcome basket of tea, coffee, jams, bread and snacks.The swimming pool was amazing. The surrounding area was blissfully peaceful and it was wonderful to watch the deer.We would highly recommend a stay at Fallow Folly.Thank you Heidi and Hugh for sharing your amazing barns. Small and compact but we knew that and with three adults it was just fine. Everything was spotlessly clean and we had all we needed to make this a very enjoyable place to stay. Despite the weather which was pretty bad we still managed to walk over 40 miles and when we got back we could get everything dry and ready to go again the next day. Banham Zoo was right next door and well worth the visit. The only difficulty was with the WiFi while on site but as soon as we got to the car mobile data picked up so getting directions was never a problem and we always take maps anyway. If you were reliant on WiFi you might struggle, thankfully we're not.

A very comfy and warm place to stay, as it was a very cold week, and we were particulary impressed with the walk in shower and the comfortable mattress. It had everything we needed from cutlery and kitchen ware to a bed and treats for our dog. A big thank you to Linda (park warden) and Karen (park manager) who were extremely friendly, helpful and informative about the cottage, local amenities and other questions we had. Considering we were located within the zoo, it was a very peaceful location. Would highly recommend!
