  Location is very good being close to the centre of town. Only a couple of minute short walk down a small hill to get into the centre of town. I wouldn't say its a difficult hill either. Others may disagree though - everyone has differing health issues. Wifi was good... for people who care about these things. Parking looks larger than it is. Its a reasonable space but due to a narrow side road to get to the shared driveway, it can be tight manouvering with larger cars (which I have) especially if the neighbour parks badly. I am a confident driver but others may struggle. No electric car charger but owner is considering getting one which would be very handy and a big plus point for the property. Although the property is setup to allow dogs/is dog friendly, I would say in my opinion it isn't great for bigger dogs. Maybe better suited to smaller dogs. Only a decking area and no grass/garden as such. Dogs are only allowed downstairs. That might be standard but this is our first time bringing a dog away with us to Cornwall so we have no reference. Perfect property/base for a couple staying. A little smaller than previously stayed at properties to cater for 4 and a dog but manageable. The location definitely wins for us.

  A lovely stay at a really well equipped home! We loved the fact we had parking as we do like to go out of St Ives now and again! The house had absolutely everything you needed and we really appreciated the air fryer for quick snacks. The downstairs wc was a bonus and our dog was happy to wander in and out of the patio door into the secure garden. The sofa was comfortable to chill on after a long day at the beach and the shower in the en suite was large and powerful enough. The beds in both bedrooms were very firm: fine if you like a firm bed, but we prefer them a little softer. Watch you don’t catch your legs on the wooden bed surround! The walk into the centre was about 10/15 mins and Porthmeor beach was 10 mins, all downhill. You need to be quite fit to march back up the hill though and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with mobility difficulties. If you are visiting in high season with a dog, you may find the beaches restricting in the town. We drove to Gilbert’s Beach Bar in Hayle and used the dog friendly beach in front of it. The food was great there for lunch too! Altogether, a fantastic week in a very comfortable house!

  Jasmine Cottage has all the home comforts you could wish for in a compact old, but well modernised cottage. The kitchen was very well equipped, everything you could wish to know was covered in detail in the info folder. The 2 bathrooms were really useful and a fantastic use of space. The side entrance was great for getting sandy surfers and dogs into the lovely and quirky back terrace, to be showered off outside before re entering the house. Friendly local people, pub and social club. Lots of great walks from the front door. Good bus service into Newquay and to places such as Padstow and Constantine Beach, if you don’t always want to take the car. Easy walking distance to nice beach at Porth.

  Lovely cottage, great location. Parked the car for the week and could easily walk everywhere, into Newquay and along the coastal path to Watergate Bay and Bedruthan Steps. Very well set up for walks with the dog as there was a little lobby where we could towel off water and sand and leave boots. Well equipped kitchen and nice little garden area at the back (though the dog wouldn't walk on the artificial grass!). Cornish Horizons were very efficient, I booked online and everything was emailed promptly. The key lock code emailed a few days before, good contact with housekeeper confirming arrangements and cleaning deposit returned within the week. Would use again happily.

  We were four adults staying at Baxter's cottage for the weekend. It has everything you would need in terms of kitchen equipment and facilities. The open plan living/dining area had plenty seating for all. The bedrooms were well sized and plenty of furniture. A bonus to have two toilets. The shower was great, with good pressure. Well situated, just a short way up the road from the shops, bars and restaurants of the town. I/we come to Padstow frequently and have used Cornish Horizons before, but this was our first time at this property - consensus of the party, was that this was the best so far, and we'd definitely use it again if available!
