What our customers say about their holidays

Driving up to the stunning venue I was really impressed with the immaculate grounds and the scenery.
This was well maintained throughout the stay, with the grass being cut daily! If only the same amount of effort was placed inside to make everything as good on the inside as the outside... The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have had the displeasure of trying to sleep in. And this is coming from someone who could literally sleep on a log if given half the chance. Sorry but I really think this should be addressed. I understand regulations are there for a reason, but having an emergency LED green light, then with REFLECTIVE lampshades... oh the joys along with a bed that you can't get comfortable in. Both me and little one struggled with this. The curtains in the cottage we stayed in didn't even cover the whole length of the window. I'm not a bath person and love a great shower, but there was no chance of this at all, no pressure enough to even try and swill off sand after coming back from the beach, let alone a hose long enough to even reach down to your legs. Added with the tedious task of having to work with a limited supply of hot water from an immersion tank and a bath small enough for only half of my body to fit in, there was no relaxation after a long day exploring the beautiful beaches around. Children's playground consisted of 2 swings (1 baby and 1 single seat), a set of monkey bars and a few balance beams... bit of another disappointment really, it was such a good space and could be so much more! I can't fault the staff who were brilliantly welcoming and the entertainment at night was enough for what the park offered. The pool was clean and changing rooms were well managed by the staff. Overall, the place was clean and tidy, both the cottage and the reception/ entertainment areas. In saying all this, I would think about booking again if the cabins were maybe better than the cottages. And whilst I totally get that they are "cottages", I just felt with all the maintenance outside, surely some of this effort could be used to update the inside of the cottages?

The cottage is lovely and clean and well maintained and has all the facilities needed to self cater if desired.
It is in a cracking position in the village of Llanbedr near to all amenities and pubs etc. However, there is a price to pay for this accessibility in terms of parking. There is parking on the road opposite the cottage on a first come, first served basis and usually you can get in somewhere along that road but not always. This can be problematic when arriving with all your luggage and shopping so just be prepared. There is a train station and also a campsite further down this road, which creates a lot of traffic in peak periods when they arrive and depart or are going out for the day. Again, it is something that can be worked around and did not detract from our very pleasant stay. The cottage is very well equipped as described in the listing and we wanted for nothing during our stay. Getting out to all the various seaside locations and local villages is easy with nothing being too far away for a day trip - we enjoyed several great days out. The garden is a bonus in the good weather and allows you to eat outside âal frescoâ which we did a couple of times. At night the village is quiet and you get a peaceful nights sleep in both the bedrooms. I would recommend the cottage for a good all round self catering holiday in a lovely friendly village with a couple of great pubs and the super local shop, which really does stock everything!!

We absolutely loved this cottage. The location was amazing - remote, so you felt you were properly in the countryside, but only 2 mins drive away from more major roads which then got us easily to every location in the Peak District. The location was one of the very best we’ve had in the UK. The property was absolutely amazing. It had lots of equipment you don’t normally find in properties like tons of toilet rolls and kitchen roll, bin bags & washing up liquid. Even kitchen foil! The kitchen was lovely to cook in and had everything you might need. There was also an insulated cafetière which came in handy, and an ice cube tray in the freezer. We loved the log burning fire in the lounge and the tv had access to Netflix and BBC iplayer which we appreciated. We had many happy evenings snuggled up watching TV. There was also a sun room which was lovely to sit and relax (we were pretty lucky with the weather). The children loved the table tennis in the games room, and there was plenty of room several cars on the driveway. The showers had great water pressure and all the bathrooms were to a very high standard. The beds were large and comfortable and the cottage was very spacious. There were plenty of amazing pubs serving wonderful food in nearby towns and villages. We would definitely come back again.

To be honest, I only had modest expectations as this was a late booking and there were only few properties available in the area. However, both my wife and I were stunned by the quality and comfort of this property. Despite going here in the late autumn, the railway carriage was really cosy and warm. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. Great wi-fi with a Smart TV meant we could watch all our favourite shows on Amazon, Netflix, NowTV etc. The carriage is in a very peaceful setting within an enclosed large paddock; so very dog friendly. I highly recommend that you go to The Sidings bakery in Melton Constable for breakfast pastries that you can enjoy in the paddock with a cup of tea. It is just a short drive to the Jurassic coast for fossil hunting. We have no hesitation in recommending this property; it is amazing.
