What our customers say about their holidays

We were very disappointed, felt like we were staying in someoneâs basement, not a cottage.
Windows in main living area were below upstairs decking so felt very dark. Could hear people walking about above and a very lively washing machine! Very difficult to get a consistent heating temperature. Some doors didnât shut properly, eg, kitchen and bedroom doors. Lots of lights didnât work. Even though towels were included there were only 3 bath towels and 3 hand towels despite it being 7 berth accommodation which were old and different shades of brown. We had to buy more towels. Smelled damp, all our clothes needed washing once home to get rid of the smell. However, it was spacious and lovely and clean, WiFi was excellent which was a lifesaver as none of us had a mobile phone signal. The television was nice and big so we could all spread out and relax. Furniture was nice. The pub & restaurant described as two minutes walk away, was indeed a short walk but when we got there it had closed down and was falling apart. We were looking forward to returning to the Cotswolds as we had been last year. This was not the Cotswolds! Had to travel 45 minutes to get to the pretty places. Stourport on Severn was not a very appealing place, most of the amusements were closed despite it being the school holidays.

The Cottage is in a quiet spot over looking the river.
We were able to spend time watching the birds and boats. The children made friends with the dog upstairs as well as the next door children and another dog in the close. The cottage is well equipped, with plenty of crockery, cutlery and saucepans, which makes a nice change. Although it was good to have a dishwasher a washing machine would have been more useful. We only stayed a few nights but the children still managed to get filthy! There are a few little things that could be sorted quickly, mainly the lighting. The cooker hob only had one light working with none under the cupboards. The cottage is very spacious, however if another bathroom could be fitted it would be even better. My parents joined us and although it wasn't a problem waiting for the bathroom four adults, one of whom is disabled plus a teenager and ten year old did mean it took a while to get out in the mornings! Thank you for the use of a lovely property in a very quiet relaxing spot.

The flat was pristine and well decorated. Clearly all new facilities etc. The parking was an issue at an extra cost that was not known about prior to booking. The location for local amenities is great, being close to shops, pubs and river. The flat does not have a great entrance, being in a dark ally, with no lighting. The outside stairs did not look or feel safe. The neighbours above, below and next door can be heard through the walls, TVs, talking,( full conversations) showers, toilets flushing and people walking around, with lots of creaking floor boards. leading to us being kept awake as well as being woken early. The heating is not easy to use, instructions were found on the last night. We found the beds very hard and both woke aching. The flat was OK as a base, but would not want to stay any longer. Extras needed. hooks, chopping board and a welcome brochure with heating instructions and information relating to the area.

The flat is situated down an alley behind a charity shop but the exact location instructions were not clear. But we eventually worked out were to go (a couple of photos of the route would have been helpful). Once inside we found it clean and tidy, but gasping for cup of tea we were disappointed to find 3 cups that hadn't been cleaned properly. There is a small kitchen with the basics to cook for yourself. The shower was ok but ran out of hot water after a couple of minutes, and the shower head we found was fixed too low to get right under it. The beds were comfortable and the wifi signal good.

This is superb accommodation if you are visiting the Malvern Hills for walking (or anything else).
We loved the access from the back garden gate, which was only a few yards along a very quiet road to the start of the trails. Perfect. The flat feels very spacious, much bigger than whole houses we have stayed in in Malvern. Everything is very comfortable. Despite temperatures being sub zero for much of our holiday the flat was always warm enough. Yes, the stairs up to the flat are steep, as are the ones to the back gate, a good warm-up for the hills. James is an excellent host. There if you need him but invisible if you don't. We wouldn't hesitate to return.
