This was our first visit to Suffolk and we thoroughly enjoyed it, The coastal walks were delightful and places such as Minsmere, Dedham Vale, Pin Mill , Aldeburgh and Souihwold were all worth visiting.The exhibition at Sutton Hoo was most interesting historically , with the concert at Snape Maltings a real experience. We found some very good restaurants in Woodbridge . We would recommend Suffolk as a holiday destination - the weather was also very good ! It was an ideal location for discovering Suffolk - close to the A12 and with easy access into Woodbridge itself. .The cottage itself was ideal for 2 people although the chandelier in the bedroom was rather low for tall people !

We stayed at Barley Rise many times when it was a one-bedroomed apartment and the previous owners lived downstairs. This was our first visit since it has been adapted to two bedrooms and we were not disappointed. The apartment is very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the standard of fixtures and fittings is the same high quality. Its location is perfect, across the road from the beach and within five minutes walk to the High Street with its superb selection of independent shops and places to eat. Thoroughly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at Cygnet Cottage, it is a perfect location but the cottage is only suitable for people (and their pets) who are fully mobile and able-bodied. The staircase is very steep and not safe for anyone with young children or with mobility issues. One could not safely or easily carry things/children when going downstairs as one needs to hold on to the bannisters at all times. The living room is also somewhat bijou. It is a bit cramped for 4 people. Courtyard garden was nice to sit in for mealtimes.

We love cooking and were really pleased with the well equipped kitchen area. The location of the property is perfect. Literally on the doorstep it the a River Alde, with easy walks to Snape and Snape Maltings. We were not familiar with this area of the country but will definitely return. This is a lovely little property that should not be missed.
