  We booked this cottage over Christmas to celebrate a special birthday with the family. Our group consisted of 7 adults and 5 children.The cottage was lovely and spacious with 2 large reception rooms and open plan kitchen/ dining room. It was warm and comfortable with gorgeous views and countryside walks locally.The kitchen was well equipped, just lacking a few basics such as covered dishes suitable for the oven. Also there were not enough chairs for us all to sit round the table.The utility room was large and ideal for muddy boots and coats.The bedrooms were comfortable although the master bedroom had no shaver point or mirror to use when drying your hair.One of the blinds in the main lounge was faulty and could not be let down. In several of the bedrooms and the bathroom on the ground floor there were loads of dead ladybirds and flies in the folds of the roller blinds.Having said all that we had a lovely stay at Foxhole Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our time away and would recommend this property.Suffolk Hideaway were good at answering any questions and were very helpful in allowing us into the cottage early.

  The house is lovely but a few things that could be improved:- 1.

  Dining table way too small, only comfortable for 6 people; there were 9 of us. 2. Tap on sink in the utility room very loose & no hot water. 3. Cooker old & didn't work very well, no grill pan, induction hob not working very well, made it very difficult to cook there. 4. Why leave just one dishwasher tablet, surely enough for the duration of the booking is not too much to ask. 5. No kitchen towels; this is a basic requirement. 6. Side door has a broken seal which made it very difficult to open; not ideal when I'm trying to get in from the pouring rain! Had to go round the back of the house to get in. £1500 for 3 nights is a lot of money and for that I expect more. I also tried to contact the company several times before my visit but it was impossible, the online chat, the SMS and the call back options didn't work & it was beyond frustrating not to be able to talk to someone to answer a question, pretty bad customer service. I've used Sykes for years but they were so much better as a small independent company than they are now.

  Fantastic week in the barn as part of our honeymoon! Court Barn is definitely worth a visit and we would definitely stay again. We stayed for a week in June as a family of 3 and the barn was incredible. So much space for our son to explore and so so comfortable. We really appreciated the space as we had a few very rainy days but this proved to be no hardship as we cosied up in the barn watching films while our soon pottered around with his toys. Unfortunately due to the weather we didn't get to play in the pool! Location is fab. Pub in Polstead about a 25 mins walk away and supermarket at Hadleigh a 10 mins drive. Can not recommend this place enough.

  An Ideal Holiday Stay for an Extended Family ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An excellent property which was ideal for our party of 9 including a 1 year old and 4 year old. The large living area gave the children plenty of space to play. The dining area again was ideal to seat everyone comfortably around the table . The kitchen was well fitted out with everything that we needed. The bedrooms were spacious, bright and clean. The three showers / baths meant there was little queuing in the mornings. The secluded and well kept garden gave a safe and welcoming space to be outside. The house is ideally situated within easy reach of the sea, shop, pub and boating lake.

  Walked in and went "wow"!! Three generations, all enjoyed ourselves very much indeed. Able to spend time with our eldest son and daughter-in-law in Sudbury. Wonderful warm welcome, two days before Christmas. The barn was lit with a Christmas tree and soft lights when we entered at 00.30. Just what was required. Great place for elderly parents as all on the same level. We were all warm and comfortable. Lots of space. Easy access to many other local attractions. Flatford Mill on Christmas Eve was quiet and empty - so different to our last visit, almost magical.
