  We’d often seen this cottage as we stay in Appledore frequently. We couldn’t believe our luck when we found out it was available! Ideally situated for both families and a quiet getaway, the cottage is next-door-but-one to the famous ‘John’s’ deli, cafe and shop. A word of warning though, their stuff is so good, you’ll be a frequent customer! The cottage has a lovely little courtyard where we would sit and watch the world go by until after dark. Great sea views and perfect for early morning and late evening strolls. Inside it’s very roomy, light and really well-equipped. Beds are comfy, shower/wet room is great too. Smart TV meant our kids could watch Netflix when they came down in the morning. The communication from Dave and Lainey was personal, thoughtful and made us feel like friends not tourists. We loved the place and we will definitely be back again. If you are looking for the perfect getaway in Appledore, you won’t find a better one than this.

  Excellent property that is very clean. Plenty of space for everyone with beautiful views across to Instow and down into Appledore. Well kitted out kitchen with a good size fridge freezer and range cooker. Very steep walk down to the village centre. This is no problem for anyone with good mobility, but would be extremely challenging for pushchairs or the infirm. The bungalow itself is well arranged for anyone with mobility issues just be aware you will need to use the car when leaving the property. The garden is divided into two parts allowing you to keep dogs and young children safe or separate. Appledore is a short walk away and has some excellent places to eat and watch the world go by. Absolutely loved the bungalow, Appledore and Instow.

  This is a lovely cottage and amazing well equipped with absolutely everything you would need. There was a bottle of milk, tea and coffee provided when we arrived, and also other basic condiments which is really useful. It is really close to the water front and shops so no need to use the car if you don't want to. There are two little grassed spaces which is nice, especially if you have a dog, and washing facilities and towels are provided for a dog. Be aware that the back steps are very awkward, and also parking at the back can be tricky if you have a very big car. But at least there is a proper parking space off road.

  The cottage was very comfortable, well-equipped and very nicely decorated. The family bathroom was large with plenty of space for towels etc though the fixed shower screen was a bit awkward to reach the taps. Unfortunately the weather was not good enough to enjoy the very pleasant courtyard garden. Location was excellent and the narrow street was very pretty. We read that vehicle access was not possible but the long stay car park was near enough to the property. We had a iovely time. Appledore is very pretty and there is a good choice of places to eat. We particularly like John's cafe and store.

  Very comfy chairs and beds, just what us oldies need! Lots of equipment and bits and pieces from the owner in the kitchen. Super shower! Light switches [placement] downstairs difficult for us oldies [again] to get used to, just about sussed it by the end of the week. Totally unimpressed by the manner of the lady booking our holiday on the phone, especially the misleading answer when I asked if the difference between the website price and the total price was down to the dog. She said it was but on seeing breakdown later, there were other charges involved. Enjoyable week though.
