  Tucked away in the heart of Thurlestone, Amber Tide is the kind of place that instantly slows your pace and soothes the soul. From the moment we arrived, we knew this was going to be a stay to remember—where golden light dances across the terrace at dusk, sea air fills every breath, and the simple pleasures of good food, great company, and coastal adventures take centre stage. Mornings were spent meandering along the coastal path, where the endless blue of the horizon melted into the waves, and afternoons led us to hidden coves and sandy beaches, perfect for lazy strolls and paddles. As the sun began to dip, we gathered on the beautiful outdoor terrace, sharing stories over a feast of fresh seafood under the golden glow of a wonderful sunset, as laughter carried into the warm evening air. But perhaps our favourite moments were the movie nights, when we curled up in the snug lounge, a glass of wine in hand. Amber Tide is more than just a coastal retreat; it’s a sanctuary—where days are filled with adventure, nights with connection, and time slows just enough to make you savour every second.   We couldn’t have asked for a better setting than Moorings in Kingsbridge for our team retreat. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was something special – sleek, stylish, and effortlessly welcoming. The balcony became our go-to spot – morning coffees watching the river gently shift with the tide, and golden-hour chats with glasses in hand, wrapped in soft throws as the sun slipped behind the hills. Having access to the gym was a real treat – the perfect way to clear our heads between sessions, especially after long lazy lunches at The Crabshell nearby. But the true highlight? The private chef. We were utterly spoiled with the most incredible supper – locally sourced, beautifully presented, and delicious beyond words. It felt like dining in our own private restaurant, but better. Every detail was considered, every moment a luxury. It wasn’t just a stay – it was an experience. We left feeling connected, inspired, and already planning our return.

  From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home in this beautifully designed Salcombe home. The highlight for us had to be the incredible sun terrace—spacious, sun-soaked, and with space to relax and reclne. It became our favourite spot for leisurely breakfasts and long family suppers as the sun set over the countryside. One afternoon, we hired a boat and spent hours exploring hidden coves and quiet beaches along the coastline. It was an unforgettable experience, made all the more special by returning to the comfort and charm of Four Seas Cottage. The open-plan kitchen and dining area made it so easy to whip up family feasts, while the cosy living room was perfect for unwinding together after a day of adventures on the water. If you're dreaming of a coastal getaway that combines luxury with laid-back charm, Four Seas Cottage delivers in every way. It’s a place for making memories, and we can't wait to return!

  Our stay at Farwell House was a true breath of coastal calm. Tucked away on the edge of Stoke Fleming, this grand and graceful home offered the perfect balance of privacy and space, with beautifully kept gardens that felt a world away from the everyday. Mornings began slow, with coffee in the garden and the coastal air drifting through open windows. Days unfolded gently — beach walks, quiet moments in the house’s elegant rooms, and the joy of simply being still in such a well-loved space. Evenings were for heading into Dartmouth, just a short drive away, where we lingered over dinner and watched the boats bob in the harbour. Farwell House gave us room to breathe, reconnect, and enjoy time together in a place that feels truly special — a luxury coastal escape with heart, heritage, and a sense of ease we won’t forget

  Weekemoor is simply exquisite, without doubt one of the best rental properties I've ever stayed in. It's spacious whilst retaining a cosy feel, spotless, beautifully decorated and well-appointed with thoughtful touches - the welcoming goodies & discount at Heron Valley were a lovely extra treat. Tucked at the end of a private lane enveloped by giant oak trees & lush meadows the location is tranquil & unspoilt, but also centrally positioned enough for easy trips to Dartmouth, Salcombe & Burgh Island, all within a relatively short driving distance. Being at Weekemoor felt like stepping into an idyllic Country Life spread, it was a joy. Thank you Tasha, Barney & The Finest Stays team for hosting us!
