  We had a lovely stay at The Cottage. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable with beautiful views towards the creek from some of the rooms. Helford is a very picturesque and quiet village mainly situated around the creek - there is a village shop and pub. There are lovely walks from the doorstep in all directions. We spent a lot of our time on the water - paddle boarding and kayaking exploring the river and creeks (the outside shower was great for when we got back!). The Shipwrights pub is just over the road in a great location next to the water and we enjoyed a few drinks and meals there during the week (it gets busy and you can’t book at the moment so best to get there early although waiting outside in such a lovely setting isn’t too bad either!). The ferry over to Helford Passage is about a 5/6 minute walk away also. The courtyard garden is a good size and gets the sun in the morning and for much of the day (not in the evening). Some more comfortable seating would have been lovely but there was a table, chairs and bench which were fine. Thanks again for a lovely stay - we hope to be back one day.

  Extremely well equipped kitchen down to a tea strainer!

  Fabulous! Very quiet location with handy short circular woodland walk if you have a dog. We took our kayaks down and found the access to a lockable shed extremely useful for safely storing our kayaks and equipment. Beautiful large garden which isn’t overlooked and covered veranda for sitting out and relaxing. Comfortable sofas in spacious lounge. Only one thing - although we like a firm mattress we found the one on the double bed downstairs a little too hard for a comfortable nights sleep. Fabulous location close to Falmouth and the coastal path for walks or Helford river for boating. The lovely gifts that we’re waiting for us when we arrived were a lovely surprise and even our dog wasn’t left out! May be returning next year. Thanks for an all round lovely stay. Terry and Janine.

  Mariners is a lovely well presented cottage that has a spectacular garden and terrace and comfy spacious bedrooms.

  It is in Penryn which is a quiet town near Falmouth but it has good shops and takeaways and excellent bus and train links to Falmouth. The cottage was immaculately clean and has everything you might need for a family holiday. Pets are very welcome and we were greeted with some generous gifts of a treats, poo bags and even a lead! The owners obviously take immense pride in their property and have made lots of little adaptations that make the place unique and very functional. Probably not suitable if you have mobility problems as there are lots of steps and the spiral staircase would be difficult. We had a brilliant holiday and would recommend this property for families with dogs who want a good central location to explore Cornwall.

  Wunderschönes, komfortables und liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus.

  Besonders die Betten sind wunderbar zum schlafen. Schöner Garten und grosse Terrasse mit allen Möbeln die man braucht. Küche vollkommen ausgestattet, nur eine elektrische Orangenpresse hat gefehlt. Das Schlafzimmer im 1. Stock haben wir nicht genutzt, zu diesem führt eine sehr steile, enge Wendeltreppe , eigentlich nur für Kinder zu gehen. Das Besondere in diesem Haus ist ein Gaskamin der hat uns gewärmt während der kalten Tage. Kontakt mit einem Betreuer hatten wir nicht, obwohl anscheinend öfters jemand da war, nicht bei uns gemeldet. Badezimmer Heizung hat leider nicht funktioniert. Umgebung des Hauses ist schön. Wir können das Haus wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

  What a lovely, comfortable place to stay !

  One of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in, with everything thought of to ensure you can just enjoy your time away. We particularly appreciated the extra thoughtful touches to accommodate our dogs too. The best bit about this house has to be the outside space as well; we were lucky with weather and managed to enjoy the massive deck and gardens extensively during our visit. The best thing about this lovely outdoor space was the fact it’s also very secure. Overall a very clean and comfortable house, with lovely thoughtful touches throughout, in a great location to reach many different parts of Cornwall very easily.
