What our customers say about their holidays

After rescheduling our trip to Wales because of the COVID outbreak, we were delighted to eventually arrive at The Loft in glorious sunshine.
You will not be disappointed with the location, setting & meticulous attention to detail that has been applied to the property. Our hosts were exactly what you want, available if needed & not intrusive at all & we certainly appreciated the welcome bottle of wine on our arrival. The Loft has been renovated to a very high standard & beautifully furnished. Anything that you might need on a daily basis was provided for, even a bbq that we used to cremate a few sausages on. They have thought of everything. Be sure to visit the Red Lion pub, just up the grassy path for a decent beer & a friendly welcome. The views from the outdoor seating were spectacular. We came to Wales to visit Mold, were my Grandfather was born & raised, itâs around 5 minutes drive from The Loft & has all the usual supermarkets, restaurants & pubs that you might need. A great wee town for a nosey around & lovely locals. We would absolutely recommend The Loft to anyone who is looking to stay in the glorious North Wales countryside.

We had a superb holiday at Trevells in June 2021. The property is very spacious - well able to accommodate 3 families, and very well equipped including a washing machine and dishwasher and plenty of kitchen utensils and equipment. It also has a good-sized garden and a good BBQ on the patio. The bedrooms are also very spacious with comfortable accommodation. The location is excellent, being a 20 minute or so walk to the superb Polzeath beach - which is excellent for a family holiday and for swimming and surfing. There are also other excellent things to see and do in the area including Rick Stein's restaurants at Padstow and a fantastic winery. We also were extremely pleased with the help given to us by Cornwall Hideaways - they are absolutely outstanding. We will recommend both Cornwall Hideaways (already have!) to others and also Trevells itself. A great holiday. We will stay again.

The property was clean and comfortable, and well-located for the Lakes.
The town centre is in walking distance, too. The 2 main bedrooms were a good size, as was the living room. The bathroom was small but perfectly adequate, with a good shower, and the kitchen was well appointed. Our gripes were with parking, access, and the WiFi. The last of those was simple: it just didnât work, at all, no matter how many times we reset the router. This was a bit of an annoyance. As far as parking goes, there is a parking space, but it is small, tricky to get into, and on the side of a very narrow one way street. Again, just a bit of a pain. Finally, the propertyâs main entrance is down a steep flight of steps, which are a bit treacherous in the dark. There is lighting, but it only stays on for about 10 seconds. It was good on balance, but there were some negatives.

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas.
The cottage is excellent, finished to a high standard and in a great, central location in Bowness. The owners left us a lovely Christmas card and hamper with a bottle of Prosecco, which was a lovely touch as we were celebrating Christmas up there. The paintwork throughout could do with a bit of a touch up and it would have been nice to have had logs available for the burner on our first day (as this was one of the things that drew us to the cottage). Apart from that though everything was just great⦠thank you :) In terms of Sykes.. good service throughout. The only drawback being the 4pm check in and 10am check out times. As we were spending Christmas up there and away from home, we had a lot to take with us and to unpack/pack. Maybe 3pm and 11am would be better.
