  The cottage was clean, tidy, comfortable and well maintained. Electric heaters were useful to warm cottage for our elderly father. Chose cottage because had a downstairs shower room for elderly father but too high a step to enter and no support. Boiler was turned off therefore we had no hot water. There was no instruction to tell us we needed to turn it on ,so we thought something was wrong. Fortunately we realised what was wrong before phoning for help. The boiler should have been turned on ready for guests. The volume UP button did not work on the TV remote. (had to use the buttons on the TV). There was a SKY box , but no instructions on how we could watch Sky rather than Freeview. We were not familiar with Velux windows and had to phone to ask how to open them , there should have been instructions. The contact details if we had any queries were not clear. We phoned the owner and left a message , but the caretaker called back wondering why we didn't call her as the owner was abroad. It didn't tell us who we should call first.

  Lovely property in an beautiful location, made even better by the lovely weather we had. The only slight issue we had was that we were accompanied by my elderly father. We chose the property partially due to the fact it had a downstairs bedroom, shower and toilet, which we thought would be ideal for my Dad. Unfortunately, the shower had a fairly high step to get in and out of and the toilet was of below average height making it a bit of a struggle to use. To get to the lounge area, also required negotiation of a couple of steps, which fortunately my Dad was just able to manage. Maybe these types of potential issues could be mentioned in the property description forewarning any future clients who may have mobility issues. Having said this, I would not hesitate to book another holiday at the Coach House, but regretfully, not with my Dad.

  Great place. The Coach House conversion was well done with a lovely open concept plan and the house was very well appointed with an exceptional kitchen. We would definitely stay again but there were some problems. The showers were very temperamental and were either scalding or freezing. No one lingered there for sure. For most of our stay the WiFi did not function so the internet and TV were unavailable. While traveling you rely on the internet and we incurred significant costs as we had to use our US phone plan. The owner tried hard to address the WiFi but the problems appeared more central. We appreciated his efforts however. But overall we enjoyed the accommodations, the countryside, the location, the cozy fire , and that very exceptional kitchen!
