What our customers say about their holidays

We had a lovely stay in a well decorated and thought out renovated cottage.
All the hot water and showers etc worked really well, the decor was lovely and neutral but cosy making the cottage feel more spacious but also homely. We had a couple of hiccups which were dealt with really swiftly and directly with the owner via text that weâre nothing to do with the cottage- we were plagued with a vomiting bug on our first night! However, it would have been useful if there had been a spare set of bedding provided for emergencies like this as we were scrambling around with towels at 2am. We came as a family of four with a dog and a 2 and 3 year old. The cottage was safe enough for them but it wasnât geared up to accommodate children of this age at all, and for younger toddlers the stair gate is half way up the stairs off the main living area so youâd be eyes-on constantly. There are no child catches on the under sink cupboard either and the log burner is unguarded. If youâre coming with little kids Iâd recommend bringing a step for the bathroom and plastic plates/cups/cutlery which I naively was expecting some sort of provision for given that there was a high chair provided! Thankfully there was a stick hoover to keep the place relatively clean. The beds were very comfortable and had lovely white company bedding. I would have found it useful to have some hooks in the bedroom with the ensuite- I actually ended up taking the pictures off the walls to hang up my dresses! A mirror would also have been useful for doing hair etc. my husband and I took the two joined single beds Over the double as we are used to a superking and there was a TV in the room. It also had the ensuite with shower. It seemed slightly confused upstairs as to which bedrooms had been set up for parents vs kids though with a wardrobe full of hangers in the smaller double. The kitchen was well equipped with every essential utensil- tried and tested as I ordered some meal kits for our week long stay! The mugs were very small though- I love a bucket of tea in the morning so would bring my own next time. The wine and fizzy wine glasses were perfect though - not those awful thick short stemmed goblet things you often get in self catered places. Given the little luxury finishes like WC sheets and thick John Lewis towels and elegant glassware/crockery it would have been a nice finishing touch to have some toiletries/robes to give the stay a higher end and more hotel like feel. A BBQ outside with the rattan chairs would also have been a very welcome addition. Overall our stay was lovely and Im looking at booking the same week for next year!

In general the small bungalow was ok, though 5 would be a squash.
The corridors and kitchen are so narrow. The bathroom needs upgrading and cleaned more thoroughly, but all in all it was fairly clean, though radiators and kettle and a few other things had stains and dust on them, which didn't fill me with confidence the beds were ok, so glad I'd taken my own pillow. None of that compared to the 'track' to reach the property. It was basically a stream, with all the pot-holes, ruts, grooves and debilitated tarmac that would have destroyed my car's exhaust and wheel bearings. I had to park on the main road and walk everything up to the bungalow (5 trips) with an adult with special needs and a dog in extreme heat was NOT a good start to our break. This really needs mentioning and I am appalled it was not made clear. Saying the track was 'tight' does not mention if you value your car, please don't try this. Once in and sorted, the decking was pleasant to sit. We hadn't experienced a hot tub. Chlorine kept getting in my eyes, so turned off bubbles and much better, but still, a hot bath outside...? We enjoyed the many 'treats' left for us, my daughter especially enjoyed the chocolate.

This cottage and the owner get a 4.
5 out of 5! The cottage is immaculate, beautifully and simply decorated with brand new pretty much everything. It had everything I needed, the welcome pack was superb both for me and my dog and so thoughtful! I am also grateful for the accurate listing and bold headline that this cottage is near a busy road. Whilst itâs very safe and has superb parking and enclosed gardens it is noisy! That said having been prepared for it made my expectations realistic! The up side of this location is you are never more than 20-30 minutes away from all corners of the island! Trearddur bay 5 minutes and others 16. The location is absolutely brilliant for exploring everything the island has to offer as well as several pubs/restaurants and supermarkets nearby! Really enjoyed it!

Had a wonderfull stay 2nd to 5th April, with our grandchildren and dog.
Cottage is stunning set in a beautiful location, close to beach and amenities. Recommend the Bull for food, we found it delicious and much better quality and portion size and great value for your money. The cottage has everything you will need for your stay, lovely welcome pack on arrival. Thank you so much. Nothing to much trouble for the owners. Beds are nice and comfortable and a great night's sleep in a rural setting, just the birds to wake you in the morning. I would highly recommend this property, great for exploring the island and I do think we covered 99% on our 4 day stay. Just book it you will not be disappointed.

Easily found, easy road up to the property, no potholes.
The property has absolutely everything you could wish for, from a fire pit to a hot tub! It's nicely set away, there are no properties overlooking you. There are a fair amount of outside seats to chose from. Smart TV,, if you have Amazon or Netflix you can login to your account. There are even an array of childrens toys in a cupboard! Owners leave an abundance of snacks for the guests. It just feels like home, the hot tub with the lights on the decking are a really nice touch, if anyone is going to this part of the world, look no further, you have found where to stay. Hopefully one day we will return
