  The Manor House provided a good space for what we wanted, plenty of socialising spaces, a dinner table to seat everyone and a large outdoor seating area to enjoy the sun. Sadly it was quiet shabby and worn. The hot tub had to be replaced on our first night so we lost it for the best of the weather. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that this was unavoidable as I only heard from the company a couple of hours before we were due to check in. The kitchen was very well equipped and easy to use but generally grubby, every plate, glass etc had to be wiped before use and there was a constant ant presence on the worktops. The bedrooms were large but the beds universally uncomfortable. The three king beds were in rooms that were easy to access but the twin singles were up a very steep staircase and only one couple in our party were able to us it which worked out fine for us but may cause problems for other groups. realistically the Manor Houe sleeps 6 'mature' people or those with limited mobility. Overall, the Manor House was what we needed it to be but it certainly wasn't the luxury property that the price would suggest. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review.   We stayed at your Sweffling Hall site last week with friends who where in the cuckoo and we were in the Swift and I must say our first Glamping encounter did not disappoint. The accommodation was excellent. We were so impressed with the quality of furniture, beds, towels, cleanliness of bedding and everything we could possibly need in the kitchen. It’s was fantastic.I also was impressed with Sandra who welcomed us on site. She was in constant contact throughout or week and making sure we were enjoying our experience. There was a small incident with another tent who had not kept their dogs on the lead which led to my friends dog cutting their paw however Sandra dealt with it straight away and we were grateful.Will definitely be booking again. Thank you

  Carisbrooke is a super cottage, with bright and modern decor. The three bedrooms are extremely comfortable and the quiet cul-de-sac location allows for a great night's sleep. There is a fully equipped kitchen including a varied range of utensils and a large dining room adjacent. The living room has a TV with some streaming services and a range of DVDs for visitors to use. Best of all is the tremendous hot tub which is kept at the ideal temperature and we made full use of this facility throughout our stay. Our hosts were very attentive and we had a fantastic welcome package including home-baked bread and cake. Nothing was too much trouble and Steve gave us recommendations of places to visit and things to do whilst we were there. Definitely recommended.

  What a lovely house for our family to get together to celebrate my husband's 65th birthday. Our 3 grandchildren thought the house was amazing! Our older granddaughter (7) thought it was like a castle! They particularly enjoyed the hot tub and trampoline. Trips to Southwold pier, brewery, Lighthouse and shops were a big hit. Our boat trip to Oulton Broad was interesting but we did get cold! Trips to Sole Bay for a seafood lunch (Southwold) was excellent also Aldeburgh, Walberswick, Blythburgh church and White Hart pub and of course - Minsmere. Forgot to mention Dunwich beach and fish and chips at the Flora Tearooms - fab. What a pity the weather was disappointing. Something you can't organise! Thank you.

  We are a family of 6 adults and two children and thought the house was delightful, full of character and tastefully furnished - though the low doorways were a problem at times! The large private garden was great for the kids with swings and a full sized trampoline. The vine covered covered outdoor area was perfect for enjoying meals al fresco (especially when there was a shower of rain!) and the hot tub was fun for us all. The location was good for Southwold and Walberswick beaches and we enjoyed a tasty meal in the village pub. We would also recommend trying some of the meats and pies from the village store!
