What our customers say about their holidays

Suffolk An absolute find! This is an absolutely stunning barn conversion with exceptional outdoor facilities that include a 4seat hot tub, a ceramic bbq, comfy patio seating all under a fabulous timber framed, tin roofed garden room/patio. Not only is the outside a treat but this 2bed barn comfortably sleeps 4 adults & is done to such a high standard you’ll regret leaving it! This place has underfloor heating throughout & a freestanding log burner in a vaulted lounge with exposed beams. The two bedrooms are well appointed too, master has en-suite with walk in shower, main bathroom too has a large walk in shower, both from the oil fired combi boiler. Beautiful oak planked doors throughout and wood plank effect LVT through every room makes this place that bit above the rest! We took our two Labradors with us, our eldest has joint issues & isn’t good on smooth floors but this LVT is clearly a non slip version making life that bit easier for Poppy. Upon unpacking we realised there wasn’t an ironing board or iron, we mentioned it to the owners(who live behind) & the very next morning they dropped a new one in! In addition I’d asked a favour of them to arrange some flowers for my wife as it was our wedding anniversary & I would pay on arrival - these too arrived as promised & were stunning. The one issue we found was achieving dry towels- as it’s all underfloor heating there’s no radiators- just use the drying rack from the twin bedroom cupboard & stand it in the cupboard next to the kitchen with the boiler in it- boots, swim wear, towels - all dry next day! Whilst staying here we visited several places, these were well worth visiting & worth sharing:- Whitlingham country park - just on the outer edge of Norwich, great sandwiches/cakes from the flint barn cafe & great place to walk the dogs round the lakes & through the woodlands. Framlingham castle - worth a visit, dog friendly too. Southwold beach(The Denes) also dog friendly & at the car park there is a great pub - The Sail Loft well worth a visit. Just one last mention - takeaway pizzas, if you want them delivering to the barn there’s a leaflet in the folder under the tv (pizza plus) best pizza we’ve ever had!

Opening the door to The Piglets we got the WOW factor.
We had taken our granddaughters 23 and 21 on holiday to Suffolk, after taking them on many holidays through the years abroad and UK, they both loved this wonderful find. Close to all places for sightseeing, set in a lovely garden, where we enjoyed relaxing, chatting and two evenings in the hot tub. Our little dog loved it too. The girls enjoyed the bottle of wine which was a nice touch welcoming us on our arrival together with doggy treats for our pooch. The space between the bedrooms, both with en-suite had been well thought out. To be honest we could not have wanted for more thatâs why we have rated this a 10. Which is rare as we have been to many places promising everything to be disappointed! Not here if you are looking for lovely accommodation in an excellent location look no further! The only warning is if you sit outside in the garden or hot tub on a warm night be sure to take care of the mosquitoes, one of our granddaughters got bitten and she is allergic to them but here again she received excellent service from the doctors surgery. If you should have any problems, which I doubt, the owners are nearby and are very helpful with very well behaved children, who deliver logs to your door should you need them. Excellent holiday without any disappointments

It was a very relaxing getaway over the Christmas period.
Excellent amenities and, for a change!, a very good Wi-Fi signal, which was immensely helpful when still trying to do some work. Happy to return in the future, which should indicate how much we enjoyed being here. Anyone wishing to stay should realise that it is a moderately remote area with nothing at all in the immediate vicinity. A petrol station was a good ten miles away, although the shops were a bit nearer I believe. There is no pub within walking distance. Only tea and coffee plus a bottle of Prosecco were available when we arrived. There was no cooking foil or any cooking oil available. For us, this was not a problem as we came fully equipped and brought everything we needed. This could have been down to the time of year, I don't know. However, anyone wishing to stay here should be aware that you should either make sure you have enough provisions or buy it locally or even get it delivered on arrival. This is an observational comment based on our experience at a quieter time of year. This is definitely a place to consider for the Summer as the surroundings are superb.

The annex is without doubt in a wonderful and peaceful location with fabulous views across open field's with no near neighbours apart from the owner's.
The annex itself was very high spec build, modem furnishing and décor throughout. It had everything you would need down to a can opener. The Annex has under floor heating in the open plan lounge, this was not that warm at night time, however blankets are provided. The bathroom is a jack and jill bathroom connecting both bedrooms, however in the bathroom there is no blind and the window is not frosted. This is not practical if you are sharing with family or friend's. The host heated the hot tub for us the following day after we arrived. It is heated by wooden logs with no heating regulator [the temperature went up to 44.5 dg] the only way to cool it down was to use a garden hose. The next time we asked the host for the hot tub he told us it took him a whole day to heat it last time he did for us out of the goodness of his heart [Thank you] and that if we wanted the hot tub again to go and buy our own logs and heat it ourselves. This was not in the description about bring logs or we would have never have booked, that is the only real negatives.

What a beautiful cottage surrounded by stunning scenery!
From pre arrival to departure, the host (Ian) was incredibly helpful and very warm. The cottage and its grounds were even more stunning than the pictures. The cottage was tastefully decorated to high specs, cosy and bright especially with the morning rays. Everything you need is provided within the cottage. Close proximity to the beach and lovely views of Felixstowe from the front patio. Very family friendly and lots deer , Suffolk hare and rabbits to see from the living room windows. This was the highlight for our daughters. The host was just brilliant and nothing was too big a deal. Always with a smile. Only thing I'll change about the cottage is the see through bathroom windows, would be ideal to have frosted windows or blinds for privacy as you can see in from outside ( though it's round the side of the house ). Overall, it was an excellent cottage with absolutely beautiful surroundings which was also very relaxing. Will definitely be back for a longer period next time.
