What a fabulous place, everything we could have wished for! Stunningly clean well furnished and a fully equipped kitchen - thank you! We have a 2 year old so bare with the recommendations. Dolphin watching at New Quay - we took a boat trip and the guide was very knowledgeable, saw more dolphins from the shore that day but still we loved it! Leisure centre for swimming (toddler session but also they have a large water slide) - Machynlleth. Also by the leisure centre in Machynlleth is a great park, walks, gardens and cafes. Aberystwyth - the castle and castle park and the great park just off the southgate round about by the community centre. Aberdyfi beach, well worth the short drive, great sandy beach, toilets near and fish and chips. We really recommend Ynyslas and Borth for lovely views and walks. Thanks for a perfect stay!

The very best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. The owners have thought of everything and the attention to detail is amazing. Immaculately clean with high quality fixtures, towels, bedding and we could not find even the smallest fault during our two week stay. A beautiful cottage in a stunning part of wales. The hot tub was amazing and set in an enclosed private garden which was ideal for our dog as we didn’t need to worry about him getting out whilst we relaxed. The owners offer you privacy but are on hand for any questions you might have. Only disappointment was we had to leave, but we will definitely return to this little haven of peace in Wales.

A fantastic place: in the 30+ years we've been taking self-catering holidays in mid-Wales, this is by far the best property. It's quiet, well-appointed, spotless, spacious and comfortable. The attention to detail is outstanding and we loved the 'branding' on the towels and other items. There is plenty of hot water and the tiled floor is ideal for four-legged friends. The surrounding countryside is really quiet and it's worth a walk up the lanes, though in reality the main drag is not far away. There's a Chinese takeaway in Bow Street plus a small supermarket for essentials. Highly recommended and we will certainly be back.

Lovely large house but still cosy for two people. Lots of flexible space. Lovely garden. Easy parking. Well equipped. The village of Llanon is a short walk away. A few shops and pub serving excellent food. Walk to the pebbly beach and coast path great for watching the sun set. Aberaeron and New Quay were great places to visit. Both with harbours and more great places to eat. Dolphin boat trips in Newquay. Red kite feeding out past Aberystwyth was a spectacular sight. We were very busy and Gwelfor was the perfect base. Will definitely be back.

The cottage was very nice and clean. Enough room for the 2 of us and our dog. Completely secure garden and even lovely goody pack for the dog. The communal dog shower was very good and well equipped with tick comb, brush, shampoo and towels which made the whole process very easy! Lovely garden furniture to enjoy the sunshine, fairy lights around the garden for the evening, hot tub was well kept. All in all very impressed with our stay and one of the few places I would definitely visit again and would recommend to my friends/family
