  From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a fantastic weekend.

  The lodge is an absolute hidden gem, set in some of the most stunning scenery around, set in a beautiful little village. The village has a fantastic welcoming pub, with some hearty food to feast on. Each of the neighbouring villages also has its own pub, all within easy reach, making sure that you have plenty of choice in the area. The host, Gary was just brilliant. He could not do enough for us and met us with the warmest of welcomes. The food parcel there on arrival was an added bonus and contained some lovely fresh produce which we enjoyed greatly. The lodge has everything you need, so if you want an easy night in with something cooked there, it has all you need to achieve this. This is despite the smaller kitchen as seen in the photos, it really doesn't do it justice just how well equipped you are here. Everything else is incredibly comfortable and homely, from the bed to the sofa; to the chairs on the decking outside, where you can sit and chill with a glass of wine, watching the sun go down. Thank you to Gary for your help and being such a fabulous host; we'll definitely be back again.

  Just got back from a fantastic holiday at this location.

  Lodge was excellent all round. Very clean, very dog friendly. Loved the hot tub. Used it every evening after a long walk, and most mornings to get ourselves ready for the day. Couldn't fault what was in the lodge regarding cooking, shower facilities and the other general every day stuff. The wife and I have stayed in many caravans and lodges in our time, and this one is right up there near the top. Excellent. The site is ideally placed for Filey, Scarborough, Malton, and the Coastal paths at Flamborough. All of these were around 30 to 40 minutes away. Loved Malton, with it's great choice of shops and food outlets. I got a bit drunk from the whisky shop with it's samples. In the whisky shop, ask about the "library". Whitby is also fairly close, but is nearer the hour mark for travelling. Fabulous day at the Egton Agricultural Show. There are also some excellent smaller walks direct from the site, particularly along the Yorkshire Wolds Way. I'd be hard pressed to find any fault with the accommodation and the location at all.   Great stay.

  Good park, really nice and quiet. Ideal location, we visited lots of beaches and local attractions close by. The caravan itself was nicely equipped with everything you need. Clean and tidy with a nice touch of fresh flowers, sweets, milk, and fizz! We had an issue with power, but we called and we were helped within minutes which was great. We have a dog but didn't bring him, maybe next time we would look at a lodge that is not dog friendly, as there was lots of dog hairs appearing here and there, but we get that, as our dog likes to leave his hair everywhere and it wasn't a huge issue. Would be a good place for dog walks. Our family had a great time staying here. There is a play park on site and we took a quick look, could do with a freshen up. We never visited the bar so can't comment. Overall nice few days away in rainy and sunny Yorkshire.

  We had a lovely 7 night stay here and the hosts provided pretty much everything you need unlike many places you stay, with some nice extras as well.

  The Caravan was lovely and clean on arrival with a welcome bottle of champagne and beers provided which was a nice touch. The enclosed balcony was brilliant with a dog and kid running around and the hot tub was very comfortable and clean. The hosts messaged regularly to check in and were very quick to help with any questions and offer advice on the local area. The locations is surrounded by lovely villages and it’s only 20 minutes to Filey or Scarborough and we got to Whitby in less than an hour so the locations very central should you wish to have some days out. The bar on site isn’t open Monday - Thursday so just be mindful of that when booking, it can also be a bit loose when it comes to opening times and it’s cash only. All in all though, a lovely stay and we’ll likely be staying here again next year!

  On entering the cottage the appearance was fair but did not smell clean or fresh\ entering.

  The bedding was to be desired and appeared old and un ironed. The pillows were old dirty and thin, and the bed had 3 mattress topers. Didn't smell fresh at all. Bathroom en -suite toilet brush was disgusting holder was black inside slip matt in shower needs replacing. Pots and pans need a lot to be desired and we had to wash the pots and glasses before use. Some of the pans were unusable(roasting pan was beyond using) burnt food on the inside. It didn't look like the place had been dusted. Outside furniture table paint was peeling off , no parasol and only 2 chairs that went with the table. Although the location was idyllic the lodge left us very disappointed as we had been looking forward to going their for 2 years. We shall not be returning their again.
