  The cottage was a wonderful place to spend Christmas with the dogs.

  Such a cosy, warm cottage but very modern. I was concerned about all the kitchen items I would need to pack to make a Christmas dinner, but Dale reassured me that they had everything available for foodies and they certainly did. The cottage is much bigger than it looks on the photos and it had lots of storage space. We were overwhelmed by the lovely welcome drinks and nibbles we recieved, also emergency tea, coffee and milk as we hadn't had time to stop at the shop. Asda is just a 6 minute drive away but I was sad to hear that there was no village shop. There was also no village pub although Dale directed us to 2 that were a walking distance away and served lovely food. Natland itself is a cute little village, imagine the Vicar of Dibley setting. There is a church at the heart of the village and we attended 3x over the festive period and enjoyed every service. The locals were lovely and recognised us from our walks with the dogs. The walks were great for the dogs and the views were lovely. It was a short drive to Windermere where you can get a boat to other areas such as Ambleside. The dogs would get quite muddy on their walks so Dale also gave us access to the outhouse area where there is a washing machine, you can hang wet clothes and also wipe down the dogs. The most amazing part for us was that as we have two small dogs, the garden wasn't secure for them, especially Daisy my Cavachon who is like Houdini. When I mentioned this to Dale, he spent Christmas Eve in the rain securing the fence with a mesh. This was way beyond what I would ever have expected and I was so grateful as the garden is now secure for small pooches who want to stay. Thank you and we would love to go back again.

  Created with empathy for its historical significance and with the owners love and pride stitched into every detail ,Natland Hall Cottage is well thought out to ensure the absolute comfort of its guests both human and four legged.

  The decor is aspirational , your have your own parking space and the bonus of the use of a secure outside area . The cottage has a cosy warmth in welcome and in temperature and provides every creature comfort needed for a great holiday in any season. Natland village provides the peaceful idyll as a fabulous hub for adventures in every direction. The jewel that is Morecambe bay in one direction, the much loved Lake District the opposite way or head to the Limestone of the rugged Yorkshire Dales. We did a mix of all three. Walking aplenty is available from the cottage doorstep with the river Kent providing a wonderful guide through unspoilt countryside that must be a well kept local secret ! Kendal with its abundant shopping and eateries is just a short drive away and the friendly, helpful owners are on hand to ensure everything runs to plan.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Woodman's Lodge.

  The lodge itself is lovely, clean and well maintained. It was our first trip away since the pandemic so was a real treat. The hot tub was just amazing, we're trying to refrain from buying one ourselves! The lodge had everything we needed and was just the perfect home away from home. The owner, Anthony was so friendly and helpful, answering any questions before we got there and after we arrived. We also met Jill who was lovely and made herself available to help and answer any questions too. The area is so beautiful, with a little lake just a couple of mins drive away and the Nantwich Town Centre close too. Highly recommend a visit! We've told a lot of our friends about this lodge, even sharing the link - we'd definitely recommend staying here to anyone!

  We had a lovely week at the Woodmans Lodge.

  Its decorated to a high standard and is in a peaceful and pleasant setting on the edge of a quiet caravan site. Nantwich is an easy walk away and there are also a river and canal to walk along. The hot tub was the highlight for us, always clean and a nice place to relax. Our little boy loved the space to run around and the horses nearby. The kitchen could have some more equipment but I got the impression that Anthony would have got us anything we needed if we asked. He was on hand if needed and nothing was too much bother. There's no washing machine in the lodge but one you can use on the caravan site if needed. All in all a great place to stay and we'd definitely stay again.

  Lovely cozy cottage, very quiet so nice and relaxing.

  The cottage is well equipped, comfortable beds, beautiful secure garden which our dogs loved and the hot tub is great. We had lovely days out exploring, going for walks, pub lunches, then spent our evenings in the hot tub and playing games which were provided, lots of fun. Treats were provided for the dogs which was so nice and kind. Tea, coffee and milk were also provided so we could have a drink on arrival which was nice. We had an Asda food delivery arranged for when we arrived, no issues at all. I had messaged the owner a couple of times, just with questions, communication was great. I would highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing break away.
