  Spent 3 nights at Cae Bedw for my partner’s birthday and we had such a lovely stay.

  It was sparkling clean, homely and cosy. I’m not much of a ‘camping’ or ‘glamping’ type person but wanted to be close to the outdoors and this was perfect. We were quite lucky with the weather and the views were stunning. It had a lovely full size modern kitchen/diner/lounge with a large tv, big cosy bed in a separate bedroom and loved the sliding doors onto a private decking area, perfect for our dog to get some fresh air between walks! The hot tub was just the best, very clean and functional, it had been well maintained and the owners check it twice a day. Lovely sized bathroom with shower over the bath too. They even left us some Welsh cakes which was a kind gesture! Was impressed to learn the cabins were built by the husband and looked after by the wife who are full time working parents. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

  We decided to spend Christmas away from home this year and booked 1 week away at the Stag Lodge.

  We have found a home away from home. Sarah and Andy were super welcoming with both of us and also our fur baby Daisy. Lodge is well equipped and has everything you need inside to feel like home. We got to experience strom Pia on our holiday but the lodge has keept us warm throughout the day and night, enjoyed Christmas movies on Netflix when raining and the wood fired hot tub during the evenings. Absolutely loved the stone build fire area where we made a BBQ everyday. The nature surrounding the lodge is breathtaking and just a lovely sight for the eye when sipping your morning coffee. Inside the lodge you can find loads of ideas to spend your day if you feel like exploring. So looking foward to book Stag lodge in the future. Thank you Sarah and Andy for a lovely Christmas week ❤️

  We had a wonderful mini break.

  Hosts were great and on hand if we needed them. The pod was super clean and had everything we needed for a short break. The milk, bubbly and tea and coffee upon arrival was a lovely touch and very welcomed. Surroundings were very peaceful and the guide book of things to do and local information was a great help. We had no issues with flys, but the host had supplied fly traps just incase. We had a super time and plan to return again. The only thing which we would of liked is a tiny sofa instead of the tub chairs or to lower the wooden base at the end of the bed so you can snuggle up to watch the tv when the weather is not at its best! But thats a small thing which we feel would improve the lodge, and it wouldnt stop us from returning. Great relaxing stay.

  Unfortunately we cut our stay short due to the smell of the damp and condensation in the bathroom area.

  I advised property owner that this needs immediate attention, repair and treatment. The decking also needs some love and attention and would suggest its cleaned and properly maintained, whilst I know decking weathers it should be maintained and kept clean and fresh looking if renting a property out to holiday makers. For me at least It does make a difference knowing you are relaxing in a clean smelling property, otherwise why be away from own home. I do hope the property owners set this right for future guests as otherwise the pod could be a cozy retreat especially perched up high with amazing views. Hot tub was nice and warm but could not have the jets going as the water was flooding over the edges as filled too high with two people in the tub together.

  Stag Lodge is wonderful!

  So clean and had everything we needed. The prosecco,milk,chocolate & dog treats were a lovely,thoughtful touch. Dog mat and bowls are provided. We took a crate for our puppy and our older dog had her bed and there was still plenty of space in the lodge. Hot tub was lit and heated prior to our arrival. My partner loved the walled fire area,he was in his element and we had a BBQ everyday. Metal chairs provided on the decking area outside,we took our own reclining loungers to use on the grassed area for comfort. Owners were easily contactable and very quick to respond to any queries or issues. Sarah sent very clear instructions on how to reach the property. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the beautiful stag lodge and we hope to return.
