Lovely Newquay Cottage sleeping up to 2 guests

A beautiful, traditional, welcoming Cornish cottage, providing spacious accommodation for a couple, only 5 miles to Newquay and 4 miles to the nearest beach. An enclosed garden and woodburner provide great added extras.

The village of St Newlyn East, which lies 5 miles inland from the popular coastal town of Newquay, is situated in an area perfect for those wanting a walking or cycling holiday whilst still being close enough to make the most of the North Cornwall beaches. 50yds from S73691 is The Pheasant Inn which offers quality home-cooked food and real ales. The village also has its own grocery store and a traditional butcher shop.

A circular walk runs by the pub and descends into the stunning Lappa Valley passing the remains of the East Wheal Rose engine house. Cycle route 32, part of the Cornish Way cycle route, will take you to Newquay, Padstow or Bodmin. For those less energetic the cottage provides a welcoming home-from-home with its wood-burning stove, plush sofa, king-size bed and pretty front garden where you can sit out and hear the relaxing sounds of the sparrows chirping. S73691 is a traditional cottage which has been beautifully modernised and which provides a high standard of accommodation for two. With local facilities on your doorstep and easy access to the A30, it is perfectly located for exploring Cornwall.

garden & parking: On-street parking. Enclosed, lawned garden to the front with patio area. Garden furniture and barbecue. To the rear of the cottage is a lockable outbuilding with space to store bikes, surfboards or other equipment. Please note the path to the rear has shared access with neighbouring cottages.

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am - changing to Friday from 2019
Pet Welcome: Maximum 1. £25 per week. Information about bringing your pet.
Power and Heat: Electricity included in rent; modern electric panel heaters. Woodburner. Initial supply of logs provided, more can be bought in the village store. Heated towel rail in shower room.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen provided and towels provided (please bring your own beach towels).

"St Newlyn East is a good spot for accessing the A30 to tour Cornwall. The village is quiet, has a shop and a pub very close by and the local people are friendly. There are some narrow lanes to negotiate but several different routes lead to the village. The cottage is clean, well equipped and cosy and all of the appliances work well. It would be a challenge for anyone finding steps difficult to negotiate. There were toilet and kitchen rolls, washing up liquid and hand wash provided. There was sufficient room for food storage, including a good sized fridge/freezer. The cottage information on the Cornish Horizon website is accurate and the booking process and access information was efficient "

"S73691 is a perfect little cottage - it has everything you need for a relaxing holiday in a lovely village close to the coast and has easy access to major roads for trips further afield. The cottage is really comfortable and is very well-equipped. The excellent secure garden for our dog was greatly appreciated. The local pub is just a few steps away and serves great food. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week and would definitely book again."

"S73691 was lovely, just what I was looking for. A cosy little bolthole near to the north coast set in a nice little village. I enjoyed several local walks around the farmland, valleys and downs. The local shop had everything I needed as well as great friendly service. The welcome pack was a really nice touch and I enjoyed the tea and biscuits in front of a lovely warm fire most evenings. "A beautifully decorated cottage with a cosy, quirky feel well situated for countryside walks and for visiting the coast.
