In the charming Cotswold village of Ampney Crucis, this immaculately presented cottage enjoys lovely, quintessentially English views over grazing sheep and the village cricket ground. It is full of character, with beamed, high vaulted ceilings. It adjoins the owners’ home and is just 2 miles from the old Roman town of Cirencester. The Cotswold Water Park, Cheltenham (14 miles), Oxford, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Lechlade are easily accessible. Shops 2 miles, pub serving food a short stroll away.

We had a lovely week, the cottage was clean and comfortable and the owners were on hand should you need anything. They were brilliant when I left my earrings behind and posted them back to me. The cottage is located well for all the places you would want to visit and there is a great pub a short walk away.

We had a lovely stay at the bakery cottage. The cottage is cute and comfortable, especially the new bed. The owners were nice and offered some great tips. There are some nice walks with the dog in the area. But we were a bit disappointed that we did not know beforehand we couldn't leave the dog alone in the cottage. Also the garden is shared and dogs need to be on a lead because of the cat. All of this is understandable, but it would have been nice to know about these rules when planning the trip and the activities.We loved the area. Ampney Crucis is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. We would definitely recommend it!
