A less than 5-minute steep walk down Peggy Hill brings you to the centre of Ambleside where there are many cafes, restaurants, shops and two cinemas. Wansfell and Red Screes are nearby, and walks can be enjoyed from the door. Many bus routes radiate from Ambleside including frequent services to Windermere, Kendal and Lancaster, the 516 to Elterwater and Dungeon Ghyll, the 555 to Grasmere and Keswick, and the Coniston Rambler to Hawkshead and Coniston.

Over all the flat was clean, but there were areas in need of attention, bathroom had mould on ceiling, bedroom had mould in the corner by the window.The key safe needs to be moved to the front door

Good points first of all Nice modern bathroom, easy to use shower Nice and peaceful and quiet at night Kitchen although small was adequately equipped Poor points Located quite a way up a VERY steep hill, so not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties Instructions not as they should be, some not for the actual equipment there TV very difficult to watch, no freeview box or dab radio as was described Bedroom more of a single than a double in our opinion not enough room to walk aroimd and the bed way too soft. One bedside lamp kept flashing on and off until it just gave up Cleanliness could be better, had to clean sink and draining board before we would attempt to use Overall really disappointed with the apartment/flat for what we paid and would not stay there again
