Located within one of the most desirable Broadland villages, 220 yards from an award winning pub serving excellent food and just a short stroll from the River Bure. Blending outstanding comfort with a contemporary design, the accommodation offers the warmest welcome at any time of year. The courtyard garden with seating offers an opportunity for al fresco dining and simple relaxation.
The village of Coltishall offers four inns with restaurants, Chinese and Indian takeaways, a fish and chip shop, two butchers shops (one incorporating a delicatessen), a tea room, two general stores, a chemist and three hairdressers, all within walking distance. The River Bure winds through the village which has a large village green, a great place to sit and watch the boating activity, and there are pubs located on the waterside with beer gardens. Wroxham, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, is 3½ miles away where day boats can be hired and trips taken to explore the miles of waterways rich with bird and wild life. Riverside cafés, restaurants, garden centre and shops offer great days out. Wroxham Barns, just a few minutes outside Wroxham itself has craft barns, eateries, petting farm animals and play park for the children. Enjoy a trip on the Bure Valley Steam Railway which can be caught from Coltishall to visit Wroxham and the popular market town of Aylsham. Excellent sandy beaches are within a 30-minute drive. Mundersley, Happisburgh and Sea Palling all offer excellent wide sandy beaches and traditional seaside amusements and cafés. The city of Norwich is just a 20-minute drive with its cathedral, theatre, castle museum, two indoor shopping centres, a market square, art galleries, plenty of cafés and restaurants. The area has excellent birdwatching and fishing opportunities and the network of trails and footpaths make it popular with both on road/off road cyclists and walkers. National Trust properties nearby include Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park. Beach 13 miles. Pub and restaurant 220 yards. Shop 0.2 mile.

We had a fantastic stay at 1 Alexandra Villa in Coltishall. The property was exceptionally clean and very well presented, which made a great first impression on arrival.The owner was excellent throughout – really positive communication, helpful, and made everything very easy from start to finish.It’s a lovely, spacious property with plenty of room to relax, and we really appreciated the thoughtful extras left in the kitchen – such as fresh bread, butter, and even a bottle of wine. A really nice touch that made us feel welcome straight away.The location is also spot on – ideal for exploring the local area while still being peaceful and relaxing.Overall, a brilliant stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend to others.

Lots to like and v.little to complain of. Not having a dining space (there's just a breakfast bar in the kitchen) might put off some. Excellent access to bus into Norwich is a big plus.

As soon as we walked in, the house just smelt clean!! You have everything you could need, there isn’t a freezer but that didn’t bother us at all. We were even provided with a welcome pack of some bread, butter, milk and biscuits which was so thoughtful! Only 20 minutes to Norwich in the car or you can get the bus. The location is perfect for walks on the Broads. I actually felt a bit sad to go home! We will definitely be back!
