Fascinating Eyam is most famous as the ‘Plague Village’ and to this day information boards are strategically placed around the village retelling the story, together with craft workshops, tea rooms and not forgetting the fabulous historical Eyam Hall. Centrally located, just 15 minutes north of the hugely popular tourist town of Bakewell and 15 minutes south of the Peaks most famous village Castleton, its position within the Peak District itself makes it an ideal base. There is horse riding and golf locally.
