About this property
The middle cottage of three terraced cottages, situated in the peaceful village of Chelmorton in the heart of the Peak District. This lovely cottage has traditional stonework exterior, while inside, it boasts stone-flagged floors, underfloor heating, a 55” plasma screen TV with Blu-ray/DVD player, a PlayStation 3, a small selection of DVDs to choose from. On a chilly winter night, enjoy all of these luxuries in front of the woodburning stove, snuggled up with your loved one, with mood lighting offering an added effect, this is an ideal place to stay. For that added convenience, there is also a downstairs cloakroom with toilet and wash basin.
Upstairs, there are two stylish double bedrooms both with TVs and en-suite bathrooms; one with a jacuzzi bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC and the other with a shower, basin and WC. Outside the cottage, to the rear, there is a private artificial turf lawn area with patio, garden furniture and a summer barbecue, perfect for having al-fresco breakfast on those sunny mornings whilst planning the day’s activities. To the front of the property, is a secure gated gravel path. A beautiful cottage for a relaxing break at any time of the year! The ancient, picturesque and peaceful village of Chelmorton is situated in the heart of the Peak National Park. The village boasts a lovely pub which serves excellent food. Chelmorton has a fascinating historic landscape of 'fossil' arable strips enclosed within drystone walls and the village has a lovely medieval church of St John the Baptist. Surrounded by superb walking country and within easy reach of the popular centres of Buxton and Bakewell.

Weâd been left a small starter hamper on arrival & some Christmas crockery. Was disappointed when I went to use the jacuzzi bath and turned on to find the bath swimming in black bits that were coming from the jets. Unfortunately this had not been cleaned for sometime. The owner did come straight to the cottage to clean the jacuzzi nozzles, but unfortunately I would not use the bath again. It did leave me wondering what the H&S schedule is for cleaning jacuzzi baths in general for holiday cottages. We liked the cottage and the local village pub, but donât use the jacuzzi bath!!! Would be nice if Sykes actually acknowledged my correspondence as well !!!

The key thing for us was the access available to private meadows where dogs can run free. ( It's also a pleasant place to visit without dogs ). The village pub is very popular and we will definitely be returning.
