Bankfield Barn in Tideswell is highly praised for its cosy, spacious, and well-equipped accommodation. Guests appreciate the warm welcome, the dog-friendly environment, and the property's proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. The upside-down layout and garden are unique features that add to the charm of the cottage. While some minor drawbacks are mentioned, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with guests eager to return and recommend the property to others.
Guests consistently describe the property as spotlessly clean, indicating meticulous maintenance. The cleanliness contributes significantly to the comfort and appeal of the cottage.
The property's location in Tideswell is frequently highlighted as perfect, with easy access to local pubs, shops, and walking trails. Its central position in the Peak District makes it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area.
Reviews often mention the property as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and spacious living area. The garden is also appreciated, although its slope may not suit everyone.
The facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and useful appliances. However, the absence of an oven and some comments about the need for better lighting and stair handrails suggest room for improvement.
While guests mention a welcome pack and the provision of dog bowls and a bed, there are not enough references to consistently assess the level of thoughtfulness across all reviews. Therefore, a score cannot be provided, and guests should note that such amenities are subject to change.

The barn was lovely, very warm and cosy for cold autumn evenings. Tideswell is a great location to stay if you want to walk in Edale and Hope, and easy to get a Train to Manchester from for the day also. Everything you need is in the village and people are very friendly. The barn was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was easy to find as described and had a smart TV we could watch films on when the weather was bad. Parking was easy and always available, and all kitchen necesities were there for cooking at home! The air frier was a welcome edition. We would go back again!
