Tideswell is well known for its popular Food Festival, which takes place every May. It features a wide variety of food from local suppliers, as well as stalls, cookery demonstrations and entertainment. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular spa town of Buxton is within a short driving distance. Take the stairs to reach the first floor, here you will find a king size bedroom, a double bedroom and the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. From the kitchen, take the steps up to the raised patio featuring a bistro style table, the ideal place to relax in your rural surroundings. Light the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco. There is a very handy outside hot and cold tap with a sprinkler hose attachment for washing muddy boots after a day of exploring. There is roadside parking directly outside, subject to availability.
