All fuel for the background heating, all power, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial supply for the wood burning stove provided with further supplies available direct from the owner at a nominal price. Cot and highchair available on request. Open plan garden to the front with splendid views, further area to the rear with table, chairs and barbecue. Parking for 3 cars, further off road parking available if required. Two small well behaved pets welcome (sorry no cats) which must be kept downstairs. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a borehole. The property is accessed by a rough track.. Sprink Farm cottages are the perfect escape when looking for a rural and quiet retreat. Dovedale (CC412015) is a delightful barn conversion that overlooks some outstanding scenery. The living room and kitchen/dining room have beamed ceilings and exposed walls, making this a stunning property in a fabulous tranquil location. Bodgers End (UK35585) is a rural cottage where you can enjoy the village life. This property boasts two bedrooms, a double with a beautiful four-poster bed and the second is a twin room with a sink and vanity unit. There is also a family bathroom with an overhead shower. Downstairs you will find a comfortable and cosy living room with a wood burner and a kitchen equipped with all the appliances required for a comfortable stay. Ostlers End (UK35586) is a stunning, old cottage bursting with character and original features. You enter the property into the cosy and welcoming living room with a wonderful wood burner for you to enjoy. From here you walk through into the kitchen/dining room where you have everything you to cook up a storm as well as patio doors leading to the communal garden. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom has a kingsize four poster bed, there is a double bedroom with sink and vanity unit, and a further twin bedroom with en-suite shower room.
The cottages are a short walk from Hartington village where you will find two friendly pubs and the most wonderful cheese shop you will ever come across where you can stock up on cheese and wine for nights in front of the wood burner. Further out of the village, you can reach many surrounding towns such as Buxton, Ashbourne, Bakewell, and Matlock which are enjoyable to explore in their own ways. If you enjoy fishing to pass your day, angling on the River Dove can be arranged by the owners on request. The Peak District with its rolling hills has walking trails/paths galore! You can walk for miles without needing to drive at all.

A lovely cottage in a remote location with stunning views. A short drive to Harrington with a village store, farm shop, tea rooms, cheese shop and pub restaurants - excellent range for such a small village. There’s also lots to do within a short drive. The drive to the cottage is a little off the beaten track and some of the roads have a lot of pot holes. The cottage is very cozy, warm and generally well equipped. The only issues we had were there being no attachment to the hoover, no iron (ironing board available) and poor sound proofing so we could hear the neighbours talking next door and their TV, and if you were upstairs talking, you could hear the conversation downstairs very clearly and hear the tv upstairs - not an issue other than travelling with a little one trying to sleep. The floorboard are also very creaky, but to be expected. We would stay again and felt it was very good value for money. The key holders were very responsive when we have a query regarding internet, and the lady who lives behind was very friendly and offered some suggestions for days out.

Perfect get away from it all with fantastic views all around, not to far (15mins) walk to a lovely village with everything you need on a get away.

I would usually try to find positives to say and would consider myself a pretty flexible person however our experience was truly appalling. Starting with trying to find the property, the instructions given were too vague an made this stage of our experience really challenging. We tried to contact the owner at least 15 times in the build up to our stay and left multiple messages which were never answered. When we arrived the property was in a degusting condition, all of the plates etc were chipped and filthy, the toilet & shower were horrendous and it looked like someone has been boiling motor oil in the kettle, even after an hours cleaning we could not use this as it was still caked in grime. The oven dial only went to 140 but burned bread to a crisp in 10 minutes. The rooms are very small and trying to put up the cot for our daughter made it almost impossible to traverse the room. The positives, the mattress was comfortable and the view was spectacular, however the rest was so bad that after one night we packed up to leave. Do yourself a favour and book elsewhere.
