It appears that it has been recently refurbished. The rainfall shower is lovely. A nice little touch are the dog blankets to allow the dog to sit on the sofa with us. We would have appreciated more bath towels, and a second key for the back door. Locking the door at night meant that our friends in the annex could not access the cottage until we got up to let them in. We weren't keen to give them the key as locking ourselves in would pose a fire risk.

One pub is only a few doors up, there is a shop, cafe and fish and chip shop 5 minutes walk away. The cottage is nice and modern with everything you need. The downsides are it isn’t very clean, lots of cobwebs on the ceilings and corners of the floors. The woodwork going up the stairs and skirting boards are really dirty. In the kitchen the cutlery holder in the drawer was filthy and the hob had dried food on it. I didn’t use the washing machine as it was pretty grim inside and out. It didn’t put me off though, I just spent an hour when we got there giving it a good clean and I would definitely stay again

We absolutely loved our stay at Rebethnal cottage. Clean and delightfully-furnished, with a full range of kitchen utensils including a hand blender, perfect for setting up home away from home for the Easter bank holiday weekend. The separate annexe worked really well for my husband and I, as it gave us a bit of privacy from my parents when needed. The location was fantastic for accessing the Monsal trail and getting around the Peaks (Bakewell, Buxton) and even Sheffield. 10/10 recommend.
