Situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands the charming Peak village of Longnor is located close to both the River Dove and the River Manifold. This tranquil little settlement makes an excellent touring centre and boasts several shops, a post office, tea shop, craft centre and a beautiful church. The market square itself is cobbled and a scale of charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall, adding to the old-world charm of the place. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the Spa town of Buxton are all within easy driving distance, as is the attractive market town of Bakewell and the ever popular Alton Towers theme park.

The view from the patio is fantastic. Just a ten minute drive into Longnor and within easy reach of places to walk, visit or eat.

We didnât actually meet the owners. The property was further away from Longnor than we appreciated. We wanted to do local walks but had to drive to do this. This was Sykes that we feel weâre not quite truthful with the facts. But we had a great 5 days there.
