Guests say

Heathylee is a well-received cottage in the Peak District, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and location. Guests appreciate the friendly owners, the proximity to local amenities, and the property's suitability for exploring the area. The spacious and well-equipped accommodation has received compliments for its welcoming touches and overall homeliness.

The property consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting it as 'spotless' and 'very clean'. This suggests a high standard of hygiene and attention to detail from the owners.

The location is frequently described as great for walking and exploring the Peak District, with a village offering amenities like a pub and shop. The peaceful setting and beautiful views contribute to a positive experience, although some mention narrow access roads.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the beds warm and comfortable, and the property spacious. There are some minor issues with low door frames and a noisy bathroom extractor fan, but overall, the comfort level is high.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and reliable Wi-Fi. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, such as a jamming door and a non-responsive DVD player, but these do not detract significantly from the overall high standard.

While some guests mention welcome gifts such as biscuits and milk, there are not enough references to consistently assess the thoughtfulness of the hosts. Therefore, this score is set to null, and guests should note that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

The log burner and electric charging point were an added bonus.

The property was beautiful inside and out, well maintained, spotless and with a well provisioned kitchen for home cooking. The property itself was a great size for 8 of us. Rooms were generally spacious enough with lots of break out spaces to stop us feeling on top of one another. The beds and sofas were all very comfortable and the bathrooms and showers were more than sufficient for all of us with plenty of hot water. The owners were helpful and close by should we have had any problems but this was unnecessary. The village is a great location for exploring the Peak District and the local pub served very tasty food. Highly recommended.
