The location is frequently described as quiet, peaceful, and perfect for exploring the countryside. Its proximity to Buxton and Bakewell is appreciated, though the lack of phone signal is noted.
The property is generally found to be cosy and comfortable. However, some guests found the beds too firm for their liking, which affects the comfort score.
Facilities are well-regarded, with a fully equipped kitchen and wood burner. Some guests missed a dishwasher and coffee machine, and there were comments about the wifi being intermittent.
Guests were touched by the welcome hamper, which included bread, milk, eggs, and chocolates. While this gesture is appreciated, it's important to note that such gifts are a kind bonus and not guaranteed.
