Step inside and find yourself in the neutral-toned open-plan lounge/diner with sea views and a white-washed beamed ceiling. A comfortable sofa and two plump armchairs surround the Smart TV, wood burner and bay window with a window seat. At the back of the room is a wooden dining table with four chairs. Continue into the contemporary kitchen with sparkling black countertops on the grey ‘L’-shaped fitted unit. Climb the stairs in the hallway to reach a family bathroom and three bedrooms – a king-size and double with views of Mounts Bay plus a bunk bedroom. Outside you’ll find a front terrace with furniture overlooking the harbour.
While staying in Mousehole, walk around the fishing port village to find a handful of seafood eateries, cosy cafes and quirky, independent shops (within 0.5 miles). Catch a boat from the harbour for a tour of the coastline from the water. Visit the nearby historical landmarks like The Cave (0.5 miles) and The Merry Maidens Stone Circle (4 miles). Head to Lamorna Cove Beach (3 miles) and follow the coastal trail to Tater-du Lighthouse (5 miles) and Boscawen Cliff (5 miles). For a classic seaside town day out, visit Newlyn (2 miles) or Penzance (3.5 miles). Not far from here is Marazion (10 miles), where you can cross the tidal causeway to the majestic St Michael’s Mount.
