We chose this location as it was near to areas we wanted to visit/explore. It was very good for reaching both the beach and inland locations. A car is definitely a necessity to do this. We did also visit the local farm shop and pub, they were within easy walking distance. The Nest itself, is a large converted garage with its own garden and patio space.Inside, everything was provided, bedding, towels, kitchen essentials and toilet essentials. The steps leading to the annex are steep and uneven but there is good automatic lighting when dark. The space was fine for us and our dog, and we did some basic cooking there when not eating out.The hostess was very accommodating, friendly and flexible with our check out time as one of us wanted to do the local Parkrun. The reason that we didn’t give this a 5/5 is because the TV was very basic and needs upgrading, the signal and aerial were temperamental. We would suggest putting the TV onto a wall bracket rather than balancing on top of the microwave unit, it seemed quite precarious.Overall, the annex was in a quiet, private location. We loved being able to see the stars in the night sky, very clearly visible.Overall we enjoyed our stay in East Devon.Thank you. 😊

It is quirky small but a great outlook. It needs a little more thought given to the users of the property to score higher. Limited cutlery, and although a good kitchen facility, it has poor dining options. The external steps are uneven and steep. It is suited to a couple with dog, walks accessible, but really you will want to eat out. Property does have good decoration and wall art but the practical issues can outweigh its appearance.
